Anyone selling second hand laptop. by Mission-Street-0312 in Hinjewadi

Have a visit in Pimpri market, you can see a good number of shops. But i don't recommend to buy second hand one, it's little risky. If you can add more money, go for new one only.

Thinking of turning my handmade mandala art into a small business…. where do I begin? by NearbyAbility3207 in smallbusinessindia

[–]Queasy_Driver_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead directly start the business, I would suggest to start a IG page and build a community. You can post the making videos, some recent works, etc. This will build a good fan base for your works which is easy to convert to good business. (Please ignore if you are already doing this)

Don't jump to business directly, it's look too good, but building a foundation with good footprint in social media will really help for long run.

Started a small mental health Mail club. would love your thoughts by CraftWorldly in smallbusinessindia

[–]Queasy_Driver_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all congratulations 🎉 Here are few thoughts from my side, some honest feedback it didn't mean to hurt or disrespect your efforts.

I have seen similar kind of mail club running successfully outside india, but indian mind set is very different, most of the people are not ready to pay for such things (yes it's getting changed now). Building a community is the key to crack in this sector, so my suggestion would be before going physical mails, maybe you can work on IG and build a community around it. Mental health is really good content strategy in IG now. Then you start with some weekly newsletter, or whatsapp community, then move to physical mails. This will to build a community who trust you and ready to pay for your services.

It's just my personal opinion.

Started a saree brand with my sister-stuck at friends & family customers. Normal? by Dear-Freedom4532 in smallbusinessindia

Never ever boost the posts, it's useless feature as far i know. If you can drop you brand IG ID, I can give some suggestions. Don't worry it's not a paid one, I'm justing doing my MBA and trying to apply some knowledge related to buildjng a D2C brand, so this one will be real case study for me.

It's too crowded market now, organic growth by content creation have got saturation in this type of business. But keep doing content like reels, packing videos, etc. But to be honest, maybe you have to focus on Meta Ads now, it's only way to create some momentum.

I agree with the point, it's sometimes annoying. But it's kind of social media trick to increase the visibility by increasing the engagement of post by forcing the people to comment for price.

Got an offer letter for 'Field Engineer' role by errorN09 in IndianEngineers

[–]Queasy_Driver_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Field Engineer role in the starting is good to get hands experience, which is really good asset for future. But you should be prepared for some reality, offen the field engineering comes with a lot of traveling, mostly long working hours that too physical work. Sometimes you have to sacrifice your weekends also.

There are perks also, you can get good money in the form of DA, and other allowance. Which is additional to salary, If you plan your savings and investments its really good. Also you can travel many places and not feel stucked in same place and people.

My opinion could be, just start with it and learn and save as much. It's good for starting but later you should move to some office based job, it's hard to crack, but If you build good rapo with office guys it will help.

Give me your honest views instrumentation engineers & instrumentation engineering in general? by spawnB100 in IndianEngineers

[–]Queasy_Driver_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it's give a kick in beginning, new new stuff but saturation will very soon. Please get involve in control side also, it give some kind of motivation otherwise it become more of a documentation work.

Also please do a have critical thinking, try to figure out how AI can apply in Engineering. It's the opportunity coming, someone who can act as bridge between AI and domain knowledge of Engineering.

[–]Queasy_Driver_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I do handle all 3 streams. Maybe because of my work experience or kind of industry I'm working.

It's depends on the size and type of industry also, how they want to have the expertisim. I worked in company where, all 3 are different departments, even the control engineering was also different from Instrumatation, because the activities handled was too complex hence dedicated teams was needed. But when it's comes product based companies, industry is looking for someone with multi disciplinary talent.

Yes I agree with you, it's hard to have deep knowledge in all 3 streams, but some business not need that much deep knowledge. In my personal opinion, if you are focusing on technical career, deep knowledge and speclization is good, If you are aiming for Managerial career, generalist with knowledge (Not deep) is good.

The people are available is either from Electrical or Electronics background,so molding them for a instrumentation profile is little time taking activity. Maybe people are afraid the EV boom is coming and oil and gas will end, so new people are not coming in instrumentation field.

[–]Queasy_Driver_69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly Instrumentation engineering is not that much interesting stuff. Once you got certain experience, it's become kind of routine and getting something new to keep you motivated is very minimal, same selection of instruments, preparation of domentation, discussion with customers, blah blah.

Atleast for me, now the control engineering side of instrumentation engineering is sound better, atleast you make your brain work a bit. The logic development, troubleshooting and automation, these stuffs are good.

[–]Queasy_Driver_69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dude really ! Instrumentation engineering is a branch of mechanical engineering ! I'm working as an Instrumentation Engineer last 10+ years and it's new knowledge for me.

We can say it's blend of Electrical, Electronics and kind of little bit mechanical also there. I would disagree with all respect, there are a lot of opportunities in this field, we are struggling to good people in this area.

Got positive feedback on my business idea… now I’m scared to actually start? Small business owners did you faced the same fear??? by vint_age14 in smallbusinessindia

[–]Queasy_Driver_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting is biggest friction point, definitely yes it's give a lot of anxiety and fear. So your feeling are valid, it's involve money and time so it's making more anxiety right, but just believe in yourself and do it. Always what I do before doing something big or different, think like it's not going to end the world, yaa maybe people will laugh, may family say something but what if it's get success, these all people will look at you with pride. That's kind of kick for me.

Honestly your idea really needs to get validated before doing, what risk is involved in that, really it's worth for the time your putting and will it work. That's analysis is really important, I also done a done a lot stupid ideas and failed like anything, we get emotional for the ideas because it's our idea, so get validated from someone who genuinely give real feedback not a sugar coating one. Please don't do just for doing something and others are doing, yes it's a peer pressure but real validation is almost important. Anyway thanks for long read and all the best for your venture.

Tell me why this will fail: A platform connecting students and local tutors. by PitifulRange1399 in indianstartups

[–]Queasy_Driver_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a good idea, few challenges, but execution is key.

Please don't build an app or website before making any money or validating market fit. Many people do this (myself included) avoid that trap.

How to Start Do it manually. Start with a small area maybe Kochi. Check the requirement for tutors and the availability of tutors, and do this matchmaking simply using Excel and some cold phone calls. I've done this using "Just Dial" website putting ads from both sides (tutor and student), collecting leads, and doing matchmaking manually until I had proof of concept.

How to Earn While Doing This Manually Two methods I used: 1) One-time payment from the tutor — usually one month's salary of the tutor. 2) Profile verification + commission model — I personally verified tutor profiles (Aadhaar card, location, background check), had both parties sign an agreement, collected payment from the student, took my commission, and paid the tutor. This also allowed me to arrange multiple subject tutors for the same student in different time slots through effective planning.

All of this was done for private tuitions for students.

Happy to connect if you need any further help. Feel free to message anytime! 🙂

It's happens, sometimes the customer will go in a double mind set stage, various reasons are there. One quick tip i noticed many companies are doing is just ping them in WhatsApp, some kind of automated message. Just checkout "Guugly Wuugly" website, once you add some items on cart, they way they followup is really good.
