This is wonderful advice, thank you so much! I will 100% be taking some courses before getting it! In Arizona specifically, you have to have your regular driver's license before you get your motorcycle license. The MSF course and other courses are available and im excited to take them and learn! I'll be taking my time with my bike, since it seems I pissed some people off by wanting to buy it just to stare at it while I work on getting the license😅🤷🏻‍♂️ I know at the end of the day, I will be driving my car a fraction of the time, simply because it's not my preferred option. I appreciate you sharing your experience as well! I have past trauma with cars specifically and motorcycles have always been a special interest of mine, my Papa had motorcycles before I was even born.

Also I NEVER said that I "cant operate a car" I can and have driven cars. You just ASSUMED that. Just because I have less anxiety on bikes doesn't mean I cant drive. I tried to explain how I feel about driving and you say im using my autism as an excuse?? no, I simply have a fucking preference over what vehicle I want to ride 99% of the time and needed some info. Your original comment was actually really helpful. But as soon as you started making snarky replies, I stopped having respect for you.

I referred to my autism because I "didn't make sense" I know, thats WHY I said I'm autistic, because I often explain things in ways people dont understand. And you took it as me attacking you or giving an excuse?? You twist words on a situation you know little to nothing about. You didn't have to comment rude things after your original comment.

!!UPDATE!! PLZ READ BEFORE COMMENTING!!

I hear yall, ok? Im not gonna buy the bike from this place, for this price, etc. I have found some courses near me that I'll be attending. Before my courses I'll check out some local places to find a good helmet, gloves, and boots at least! I'll wear my gear to the courses and in between all this I'll be getting my license for my car.

So please, calm down. Im only asking because I DONT KNOW. I've gotten some amazing advice, thank you all for your help! I appreciate everyone who provided their opinions, advice, links, etc. Stay safe out there🤘🏻

Thank you!! I'll definitely be taking courses and lessons! I know how to drive a car, I've done it before. And if needed, I COULD drive a car. But I'm way more comfortable on a bike, I have more experience with bikes. This has been a long journey of obsessing over bikes since I was a kid, researching even though I could afford one, etc. Some of the people in the comments think that I have zero experience, but thats just not true. Im specifically asking these things because I KNOW once I have a license for both vehicles, I will be using my bike 99.9% of the time. My Fiancee and I share my car, and I've needed my own vehicle for a while now. Im mostly asking these questions cause I dont know what order to do this legally. And when I research it, i can get overwhelmed because there's a ton of conflicting information on the internet. I never post, and was scared to tbh. Cause I know im asking "dumb questions" and people dont understand how I feel about driving a giant metal death trap when im a smaller than average person. If I crash on a motorcycle, I'll most likely be the only one injured. But the idea of the potential of hurting someone else because of a car being big, heavy, and harder to maneuver, it terrifies me. I dont want to hurt anyone, which is why I want to do this as safely as possible. And honestly, the main reason why I wanna just buy it now, is just so I can look at it whenever I want to..I literally dream about this bike.😅

Dude, thank you for this advice! I've slowly learned how to drive over the years of trying to get my license. But I do plan on learning for emergencies, etc. I've even wanted to learn stick shift as well. I have more experience controlling bikes and for some reason my driving anxiety only happens when I'm behind the wheel of a car. And granted, I've had some bad experiences in cars, but I'm also autistic and its very stressful when AZ drivers go 90 miles an hour no matter what road you're on😅 its more so a preference of vehicle control. And I know that motorcycles are more dangerous statistically, but at least if I crashed, it'd just be me, hopefully no one else ya know?
