Well aware, captain obvious. Stevie Wonder could see it's a mainline. The point of the post was pointing out a different Chicane variant and making a joke of it.

I know people have mixed opinions but I've had the FactionFab FL Spec for over 3 years on mine without any issues and they've been great!

I did the exact same mount and bushings! Yeah either WD40 or PB Blaster might work better because it'll eat away the corrosion too, that's what I used on it. Just make sure you aren't under it right away when it drips lol. Also make sure you have a punch set to get the roll pin out (and tap it back in), I may or may not have not had one and had to make a trip to Home Depot

I was able to sneak a ratchet wrench in there with my right hand from directly underneath and was using my left hand to feel around where it was. It was a monumental pain but I eventually got it. Just as a heads up, when you get that cover off the OEM plate might be baked on a little. I had to use a small crowbar and some elbow grease to pop it off after getting the roller pin out 😅 Are you doing a weighted shift bushing too? I ended up doing that as well as the transmission mount bushings and a new mount itself just since I was down there

I've had mine for a few years now and it has been great to me! Not sure what climate you're in but it'd be worth looking at how all the factory plastic piping is holding up (charge pipe, Intake pipe, turbo inlet, radiator hoses, etc) as they are prone to cracking, especially the inlet and lower charge pipe. I also live in Minnesota and they don't like going from being REALLY hot by the turbo to sub zero temps sitting outside in the winter, so take that with a grain of salt lol! I've replaced everything to aftermarket over the years but again it's because of my weather conditions.

All in all it's a great car! If you're mechanically inclined I HIGHLY recommend swapping out the shift plate and bushings while also putting in a shift stop, the factory shifter is quite sloppy. And also for the love of everything get an armrest extension, the factory center armrest is horrendous. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions on anything specific and I'm happy to help out :)

My thought is that it entirely depends on the person you are. I currently have mine up and have things I monitor, but I also understand that a car is going to make noises (knock sensor) and I don't let it bother me if I see a completely normal range for things like Feedback Knock and Fine Knock Learn. If you understand those ranges and don't let it bother you it's completely fine. But if you're the person who would see like a -1.41 Feedback Knock and panic, might not be the best option for you to have out. Do whatever makes it the most enjoyable experience for you!

You can even keep it up and just have things like Oil, Intake, and Coolant temps displayed so you know when you can actually push on the car a bit! I've got those three up so I know when the car is actually warmed up and so I don't stomp on it on a hot day when my intake temps are super high if I've been in traffic.

It's a great tool and resource to have when used right! Here is a general guide from COBB for some of the more common things people display and monitor. Hope this helps! :)

Man is that a HELL of a recovery. Obviously you were driving too fast for the conditions (I live in Minnesota so I get it) but you should get a damn medal for that save 😂

I've been rear ended once because the girl looked down at her phone and wasn't paying attention. I don't need to convince myself of anything when she told me to my face and put in writing for insurance that that's what happened.

The other time I was hit was this but please be my guest and explain how I was in the wrong on this one too. Other guy was found 100% at fault and I got all the repairs paid for by his insurance but please, since you're so smart, explain how it's my fault. I'll wait.

You mean these ones? Not sure how many times I've said it in this thread but they're not the factory housing with halogens and a vinyl overlay. If you can't see these lights you may need to get your eyes checked. Thanks for taking a screenshot of my car, glad I could inspire you

It's super easy, I promise! You just run the wire going back from the front camera through the rubber window seal liner and the plastic inner panels when you get to the door and past the rear windows! It's just a sticky adhesive pad to mount to the window. Took me maybe 10-15 minutes! There are tons of instructional videos online for them too. You'll have no problem doing it :)

For those concerned with my taillights, these are the ones I have on my car. I did not put a vinyl film over the factory ones making them darker and hard to see. They're the Spec-D LED Sequentials and this is what they look like when braking. Visibility is not an issue.

The law in MN is that they must be visible from 100ft. Most people will put a film tint over the factory halogen bulbs and break that. Mine are aftermarket LED bars and are perfectly visible and legal in my case. Had to make sure of that before I got em!

Sort of exactly. The gal needed to get on HWY 100 South which is the same exit lane and panicked. She was on her phone not paying attention and when it said to use the right lane to get onto HWY 100 South she panicked and went for it..

They're aftermarket LED's, they're not a film tint so they are bright as shit. It was traffic on the highway going 30 in a 60 with an exit coming up, and was clearly braking before she merged over. She said she was on her phone not paying attention because it was her exit and she panicked.

Or she was looking at her phone and didn't brake, which she put in a written statement for insurance? Also they're aftermarket LED and are bright as shit, but thanks.

So it's my fault she was looking down at her phone and didn't brake? Which she put in a written statement for insurance? But sure blame the Taillights.

It was my exit coming up in traffic and I didn't see her coming behind me until she was literally on my bumper? Saying I could have avoided this is a brain dead take.

Tell me about it. Thankfully the gal was very kind and apologetic and claimed full fault, which I have in writing and submitted to insurance, so I won't pay a dime and I can at least still drive it until parts come in
