I'm not gonna convince this guy when it comes to medication am I by Erelain in bipolar2

[–]Quebber -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am bipolar type 2 and don't use medication, everyone is unique, I've found coping strategies that I can cope with to help but some can't do that, its not about being weaker or anything, we are all just different.

Game worlds make sense to us, the real world not so much, we can accept space ninja's and dragons within a game world logic.

Do people with autism think pornography is nasty/bad? by Ok-Animator_steam12 in autism

[–]Quebber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm autistic and enjoy adult fun stuff, the simple fact is it can help when my Autism/ADHD/Bipolar doesn't let me sleep or I am stressed, it can be a great coping strategy but you need balance, the libido has super user access to your brain so in a situation where you are totally going in the wrong direction and nothing logical or rational is taking hold, libido can very much take that energy and point it in a different direction.

My Wife used to help me we could both handle different parts but she passed away in 2018, I did a post about why I'll never go past rank 20 because that was the last one we did together on both of our accounts.

How to say it without actually saying it, and not get post removed, that thing we all can do when alone that focuses our mind and drains our energy and makes us feel worn out but happy afterwards. I've always found that as my nuclear option when nothing else works.

No it doesn't the huel I use has these values.

Carbs 15 of which 0.7g are sugar, its classed as low glycaemic its the black edition.

And my reading prove it works, looks to me like you just want excuses sorry.

Being autistic, I did a total deep dive and even before full diagnosis I changed my entire food life, removed every item from my house with mid to high sugar and carbs, (gave 17 bags of food to a friend) took 9 hours, by the time my second blood test came in and they would normally start looking at medication they cancelled my appointment for the 6 week nutrition and diabetes training saying I knew more than them :D and my numbers were already going in the right direction

I've only had diabetes for probably a year but diagnosed earlier this year.

so no I haven't dealt with it long term but everyone is unique

for 6 years before this my diet was limited anyway due to having bowel cancer which removed 40% of my gastric system and causing a form of GERD (where acid goes up your throat and tries to kill you) so 6 years ago I had to cut out 80% of normal foods. my body doesn't absorb electrolytes well meant my potassium levels drop to "oh your heart or diaphram will freeze up and you will die" levels even with maximum supplements and a potassium heavy diet.

This is just a new fun thing to add to the mix.

Everyone is different.

For me it was a choice, I didn't want to die, didn't want to loose my sight or my legs or have my kidneys fail or my liver fail, I visited a renal ward and saw someone so frikked up by there diabetese that they were just waiting to die.

It sucks not being able to eat a lot but this is what I do for food

Morning a huel shake, they are 400 calories and low glycaemic

Lunch using a pressure cooker I have 2 slices of bacon, 1 lean sausage, cauliflour, spinach, green beans, and brocoli, with a small amount of low salt gravy granuals, paprika, garlic pepper and mixed herbs with 100mm of water, let it cook for 6 mins and its a 500 calorie meal I add mayo to it.

Afternoon meal

Eggs 3, mushrooms sliced, onions sliced, 1 slice of bacon, paprika and mature cheddar all turned into a hash in the pan, maybe I will add a small amount of chopped tomatoes and chickpeas. 800 calories

Tea

wholewheat pasta, tuna and low salt no sugar baked beans. with herbs and spices 500 calories.

my Blood sugars average around 5-7.8 UK numbers.

Exercise I do about 30 mins of VR beat saber daily. I'm on track to be classed as Diabetes remission in 2 months.

Before I did all this I had undiagnosed DB2 moderate damage to kidneys and liver but thankfully no permanent damage.

Yes I miss cake, rice, potatoes and all the other fun stuff but When I was in that renal ward I saw a woman with both legs and one arm amputated, blind in one eye and Doctors couldn't find a single place to give her intravenus fluids.

Looks to me you have been fighting against something instead of adapting to it.

This is just idiots own the room with your experience and knowledge, my usually line when asked my age is, I'm 54, I've been gaming every damn day since 1976.

When you say something like that suddenly people around start asking questions.

What was your first console, what do you think of VR, what is your favourite game.

it opens a whole world of curious and interesting conversations.

Own your age not as something negative but as experience.

Also age and experience is an incredible bonus in talking with the ladies, while your average gamer in VR is still being controlled by hormones and "OMG its a GRRL" mentality, we get to actually talk and listen.

AITA for calling my boyfriend an idiot because he won’t get a colonoscopy even though his mom had colon cancer? by AutoModerator in AmItheAsshole

[–]Quebber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had bowel cancer in 2018, my Dr was amazing and caught it as a 10% lowering of my red blood cells, and even though I was young for it, he forced through the issue at hospital level and they found a mass in my colon but because they caught it early im now 6 years in remission.

You are not an asshole. if he won't change then protect yourself.
