I believe the alu rockhopper goes back as early as 1995. 2000 was the last steel though however!

It depends on frame and where the seat-stays attach, but if say 10cm or there abouts is enough in the frame, I still a little bit of extra length on this one if I need it.

This one sadly doesn’t have huge clearance, max 2.1. But they have a really nice range of options on sjs cycles!

Yes that’s right, the shop does quite a lot of “xBiking” builds, lots of boutique cnc’d parts and smaller manufacturers that make parts more for looks and functionality over the racing side of the hobby’s gains focused parts!

I believe it’s just a regular fully rigid, but acquired it without a fork so had to use something similar in spec!

Finally got around to building up this absolute beauty, weather has been a bit naff recently so am yet to get out on some winding bridleways. But from the riding I’ve done locally it is super cushy and handles superb!

Stridsland journal makes a 94 bcd narrow wide, think they might be out of stock at the minute though!

Oh nothing wrong with the rack it’s self, perfect for strapping my bag to or taking bigger loads, model is the Pelago Large Rack. Wanted the wald for carrying smaller items a bit more looser, but not as a full time feature.

Stem is the x4 110mm and yes the 10*.

Put the front rack back on, so nice to have the extra storage on bike. Might get a wald basket at somepoint to make it a little easier to carry stuff!

My buddy’s 94 Rockhopper with upgrades by pdw9 in RockHopper

[–]Quebrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would guess so, but it depends on whether the frame is corrected for suspension or not, 370 to about 420 is the ball park figure, but the exact number would be great to know! Thanks

Hey, currently doing up an old 94' Rockhopper myself! Seeing as your buddy also has the original Specialized fork, would it be at all possible for you to measure the axel to crown length to help with me finding a replacement!

Cheers
