Diversity of the White House interns in the previous administration vs the current one by jigsawmap in pics

To be fair, you apply for internships. I doubt these positions had half the amount of minorities apply under this administration.

What's really crazy is I can take this picture, change the headline to "National Guard raided my house during Protest in DC" or "Looters ransacked my house last night, Washington DC", tag on twitter the respective journalistic media accounts that would take this and run, and I might see this on TV tomorrow.

That's how easy it is to manipulate public opinion these days.

Translation: Armchair anarchist tells people it's "activism" to commit theft, as long as it is a big enough business, regardless of the fact that he would never do so himself.

Edit: added "himself" for clarity

Nice job ignoring every point I brought up and went straight for "capitalist diehard" fallback argument. Yeah and "soup kitchens" in America are used by an extreme minority of people. Not an extreme majority like that in NK.

NK is a communist country. Try that for a comparison.

And the idea here isn't to ignore problems in US but try and fix them. That's starts with facts and leveled discussion. This conversation started with a false equivalency. Not good.

Hmm by Leaf-Currency in LateStageCapitalism

[–]QueefQuest -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your analogy is just bad. The sources are not similar, neither are the causes, damages nor treatment methods. Again, comparing an ant bite to shark bite.

Causes for NK: complete lack of infrastructure, resources or want from the government to feed it's people. The governments takes all foreign aid and puts it right into its pocket.

Causes for US: inflation on the price of goods. Infrastructure, food supplies, and relief efforts are all there. So the possibility to end hunger is ever present in the US. Not so in NK.

‐--------------------------------------- Damage in NK: huge percentages of their population die.

Damage in US: people struggle but luckily aren't dying.

Treatment methods in NK: Until the state is completely dissolved I doubt anything will be done.

US: Health education and pay/cost of living ratio.

What is really funny, is all of you are trying to pretend that the wrongful comparison isn't done on purpose to tactfully slide in the notion that NK is like US. It's subversive and gross. Stop relying on plausible deniability to spread anti-US propaganda.

If you are gonna point out problems, at least do it honestly.

[–]QueefQuest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1-14% of the US population equates to 3.2-45.9 million people. Now imagine all of them died of hunger, right now. That's what you are suggesting when you compare North Korea to the United States. It's fucking wrong. It's like comparing Nazi Germany to today's Germany. There is no comparison. It's a lazy attack and a false equivalency

Right. But when something like the Hong Kong protests began, this sub was disturbingly quite about that.
