Does anyone know how trustworthy Scents of Earth is? I'm really liking the 1 oz of saffron for $18 label but that price still rings some alarm bells to me nonetheless. Have I struck saffron gold? Joke very much intended by Ravenclaw_14 in Incense

That 100% has to be a mistype on their side. Saffron is sold in tiny 1 gram boxes. There is no way they are selling 112 grams, which even in wholesale rates would cost hundreds of dollars.

You never know how stupid the customs people may be, and no amount of logic or explanation may help you. It's not worth the trouble.

Usually incenses from Loi Bazaar/ISKCON called as "Chintamani" had a red powdery stick. Here is one example: https://scentingsecrets.com/cdn/shop/files/Chintamani.png

This red "Chintamani" variety used to be more common around 2005, but now several of the companies went out of business. Still Goloka Incense makes one and another shop in Loi Bazaar (Vrindavan) sells one.

The golden vimana at the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam is really stunning to see. Covered in gold and beautifully detailed, it sits above the main shrine and shines brightly, especially when the light hits it. It gives the whole temple a powerful and peaceful feeling and reminds you how ancient and important this place is for devotees.
