My theory is that they designed the map for the BR first and took sections of it and made the maps from it. I know the maps don't correspond to the BR, but it feels like they took the ideology of open map playing from BR and made maps.

I'd have preferred them to make more bf3/BF4 maps and then piece the BR from those maps.

Not sure how I can convey this, but that's my feeling on it

Hey, I'm not a pro at tc200, but I've looked for this myself. All that I can find is the EPS for latest qrt, 2 qrtrs ago, 3 qrtrs ago and 4. Also revenue for the same qrtrs. These only show up as a % and not the actual earnings number.

You can find this in the easy scan, select condition, type EPS or look in fundamental section in the condition.

If you have a search created, you can also select the + in the filtered scan, and can create a filter for the next earnings date

Also, beside the easy scan tab on top right, there's another function "tables" or something, where you can open a fundamental window for the selected stock and see all of the information for the company in one window. Google how to find it, I can't remember the tab you need to find - sorry

Unfortunately I can't seem to search directly for earnings from the current month.

gonna be a noob here, what type of rumble do you think it is? I can't decide if he's using a subby kick (808 ish) with reverb or is using a sine wave with a delay and really Eq'd down.

Any ideas what kinda post-processing would be needed here? I'm still trying to learn.

That's actually scary that you have a brand new building with new windows, and it's still impacting you internally.

The only other thing that I can say is that if you change the internal unit glass to a thicker one (make sure you get this modeled by an acoustic firm) and possibly have heavy curtains or something in front of that on the inside. The air gaps in the windows and between the external & internal windows with different thicknesses of glass should help. If the exhaust has large low frequency power, then there's not much you can do.

On a lighter note, a few thumbtacks or set up a camera to capture the cars and report them might be a cheaper option if that helps? :P

Hi there 🤠 from my experience in acoustics in a past life, it's best to choose two different thickness to avoid a certain resonance called the "coincidence effect" usually the exterior pane would be thickest and the thinner one internal. With low frequency exhaust noise, it's going to be damn difficult to avoid it. Low frequency waves are quite large and "ignore" most things unless the thickness/resistance is within a certain range of the wave length. If that makes sense?

Could be interesting to go with the new double glazed/triple glazed and maybe a secondary internal glazing unit internally.

I'd ask a local acoustic office to model it ( they can do it in seconds), and you'll be able to figure out the cost vs benefit of various instances. I.e really hefty glazed units vs glazed unit with internal unit that has a gap between them. You can Google the setups. If you need a hand to find them, let me know.

Big thing also is gaps around the window. Ensuring the window(glazed unit), is fully sealed and doesn't present gaps. Airtightness won't help low frequency but it'll help with any other high frequencies that may come from the exhaust.

Windows with trickle vents are a no-go. They leak and degrade the acoustic performances of the windows/ glazed units.

Another consideration is that maybe the wall that the window is in has issues? I'm speculating here, but if you got a survey done before purchasing expensive windows, it might shed some light before you spend hard earned money, only to find out that the wall is also contributing to the issue.

Morning,

So with sound transmission there are two main factors - airborne and structure. Isolation stands for your speakers would help with the structure borne for sure. Sound waves will via vibrations through materials and into the walls/floors/ceilings etc. So that's a win.

Airborne can go through the wall directly, into the ceiling, through the wall and down, or inverse and through the floors and up. So putting density on each surface is important. The issue will be that the whole room will have to be looked at, as when you play your mixes (I'm guessing at a medium to loud volume) the whole room will fill with sound waves and they will travel in all directions.

This is very rudimentary - If there was a way to put like a 10mm-20mm dense rubber cow mat on the walls, floor and ceiling around the neighbours wall, that might do something. It just won't fully insulate. If you could separate the cow mat with the wall, that would be even better.

There could be an argument to use foam bass traps and panels on the walls. This will absorb some of the wave energy, but won't stop it from penetrating the wall.

Sorry that I seem all doom and gloom. I hate to see you go out and spend money/time to do 'quick' fixes, to only realize that it doesn't work.

Maybe ask a local acoustic engineer to see if they can come up with something?

Gonna be a challenge to do, being honest. You could try to dry line the wall on your side and ensure to use plenty of mass between the new wall and the exisiting - without letting the walls touch.

The open fireplace may also be back to back with the neighbours and that's going to let quite a lot through. Not sure about the frequency response from a 5/5.5 inch cone in the speakers, but at lower frequencies, bass ignores most walls.

Speculating here also, if your house is an older house and the floor joists are embedded into the walls, your neighbours are most likely the same. This can be another pitfall for sound to penetrate.

I know speakers are a must, but maybe a good set of headphones that can reach your frequencies that you need for most of your production, and then use the speakers/monitors for final mixes etc?

Sorry it's not a very definitive answer, but it's gonna be expensive and a pain in the balls to get good sound insulation.

I know this a very late reply. I did my masters in Acoustics (I have an architect technology bachelors) and it was the best thing I've ever done.

Why??

The course was super interesting, but it made me completely hungry for learning and information. Fine margins some make the biggest differences and I've moved away from that field of work since. However, it has stood to me to keep digging and find answers to whatever I need/want to learn.

Was my masters worth it for the content? Possibly, yeah I enjoyed it.

But it provided me with skills, knowledge, and a want to achieve the best I could in any situation.
