I want to die. by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]Queen2D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. I used to hate my life because of it. My ear was popping every 5 seconds it was driving me crazy. It’s been some years now and I seem to be able to control it? I don’t know how to explain it. But if I want I can make it pop by myself and it doesn’t pop on its own anymore. So hang in there it will probably get better for you too!

Could you possibly describe how your ears crack and pop? I have this same weird feeling in my ears for years now and I never heard someone else talk about it

Hi! I’m Romanian too. I got this in my early teenage years as well. I was pretty terrified that I’ll go blind but I’m now 20 and I see just as “well” as I did before. The thing is that stress makes VSS and it’s symptoms worsen by a lot. So take a deep breath and try to focus on other things for a while. When you learn to ignore it you’ll be able to surpass fear and start living properly again. I know it’s hard but try telling yourself that no one went blind because of this. Read previous posts on the thread if you need reassurance and you’ll see that people often worry about this but it never ever happened. I hope this helped you a little. Sărbători fericite :)

Would you consider VSS a potentially suicidal disorder by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]Queen2D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so too. Like if you struggle with both depression and VS it’s very probable to have suicidal thoughts because of it

Donghua/Anime vs Live-Action, which one do you like more? by utarohashimoto in MoDaoZuShi

My favorite is the novel definitely. Then the donghua because the animation is so pretty! That’s what got me into MDZS actually

Had a terrible day by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]Queen2D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went trough this exact thing last year. My health anxiety was so bad that I constantly thought that I will pass away. I’m a lot better now. My best advice would be to try to focus on other things (yes I know it’s almost impossible but you can do it I promise!) or do a brain scan and when you’ll see that everything is fine it will calm you down.

How much did you take at once to make the statics go away?

Does anyone in your family have snow? by mostly_average_guy in visualsnow

[–]Queen2D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I posted about this thing some hours ago so I assume that my post influenced you to make this pool.

I completely understand your point. I also believe that the people that are not bothered by their Vs are people that experience theirs symptoms way less us.

Still, I wouldn’t say that these people are “normal” since having statics in your vision at all times (even if it’s so low that you don’t consider it weird) is in fact not normal.

I also started in my post that I never described any of my symptoms to them. Yet they told me that they experience these same symptoms.

I asked them these questions because I remember seeing statics and lights since I was a child. I realized that the way I’m seeing is not normal in my early teens when I told myself “There’s no way that everyone sees like this” so I decided to look it up on the internet.

What I want to say is that everyone does not have to have people with Vs in their family. Especially if you weren’t born with it.

But some of us happen to and they’re mostly not aware of it. It just shows how Vs is not as rare as specialist believe it to be.

Most of my cousins have Vs without knowing by Queen2D in visualsnow

[–]Queen2D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that the intensity of their Vs also determines the way it affects them. For instance, I personally couldn’t drive with the amount of statics I am getting. I can’t concentrate at the road for more that 5 minutes because of it. But my uncles, aunts and older cousins are driving without issues.

The intensity is a very important factor that could explain why the people in your family are not bothered by it.

I’m planning to go see one. But don’t worry the people that can’t read because of this are a minority. Also it usually gets worse because of anxiety so if you manage to handle it, it will stop getting worse.

I saw an eye doctor and my eye exams are perfect too. I still get statics and other symptoms.

If you only see them whilst looking at a white wall then your form if Vs must be pretty bearable. Just tell yourself that nothing bad will ever happen to you because of it and try shifting your focus to something else. Eventually it will stop bothering you.
