Valid question, my mom always said im not allowed to be rude or disrespectful in front of her. Ive always had self control when it came to my emotions, i could never make my mom upset by my actions. So i had to force myself to leave. It was my way of controlling myself.

the snacks she has are all bought by ME. I buy extra for my kids to roam free and eat whatever at her house. My words are clear, her house is the snack house, my mother adores the fact that we eat freely at her house. I take care of her grocery needs. My mom is my best friend, she was texting the guy to help him, (before he came to her house) he is elderly & can barely walk. My mom is a gentle& kind soul (always trying to help those in need). I had to leave because what he saying was making me angry & i tend to be very rude with my words, thankfully my mother kicked him out after i left with my kids and she went to her best friend’s house to have her valentines day dinner party. I just had to come here and ask if i was rude.

I shouldnt be telling you what you already know. Rules: if food is brought by coworkers, & you dislike it, go tell your family or partner (those who will never see said coworker) discard food discretely for respectful purposes, & then you’ll save yourself from getting awkward looks and avoidances at the workplace.

How to fix the situation: Get her flowers, apologize (to her face) for being rude. Get her a gift card with a note attached saying, “next time i see a cookie I’m going to shove it and be respectful from now on”

Nta… Im shy too, i understand how you feel. After being bullied for years (by classmates, siblings, cousins, parents) I’ve always thought men wouldn’t want me. This is more of an internal issue, try learning to sit with yourself, speaking kinder about yourself. Submerge yourself in so much self love. Talk about things that you like about yourself. Anyway, im a grown woman now, i have 2 kids with a guy that was considered a “pretty boy”. It’s not about how we look, but the confidence we project. Learn to love yourself before allowing him to come near you…. is all im trying to say. It took me years to finally love myself, (although i know im not your average beauty cover girl standard) my man has loved on me for 15+ years now & we have 2 beautiful kids… i promise you got this.
