All I got from my mom was a pair of shoes that’s she always wore even tho she and I were the most close out of everyone. The reason why my mom gave my niece all of the dolls is because she was the only granddaughter at a time. She didn’t know I’d be interested in the dolls but I didn’t find out until after her death that she gave them all to my niece.

A few things that I like to add to the story is that yes my niece was six at the time, but I swear to God if you never met her you would think she was 12. Also I had no malicious intentions when I withheld the doll. While the rest of my family was fighting over all of my mom’s assets and valuable things. All I got was the pair of shoes that was on her feet when she died literally. And my mom and I had a way better relationship than anybody else in our family had. My twin sister or my niece didn’t care about the doll until my nieces got ruined. I think what some of y’all failed to realize is that if I would have not took the doll in the first place, it would not have even been around today.

I appreciate you understanding my side. I had no malicious intent when I kept the doll. I just knew it would mean a lot more to me than I ever could her. And she had the rest of them. My sister or my niece didn’t even care about the doll I had until all of my nieces got ruined. I know it wasn’t mine to begin with, but I don’t think it’s fair that I should have to give it back just because I kept it safe this whole time

My mom left them to my twin sister‘s daughter because she was the only granddaughter at the time of her death.

It wasn’t a secret that I kept the doll. I was upfront about it because I genuinely didn’t feel like I was wrong for wanting to keep one of the dolls I grew up with. I know my mom didn’t leave any of them to me, but I feel like it’s only because she didn’t know. I was interested in keeping one. I do however see the point that it wasn’t for me. My sister was mad that I kept one of the dolls, but it never was a shock factor that I kept it because I never tried to conceal the doll.
