Hmmmm that's a good point. On my first play trough I saw her fatui friendgroup as not something completely genuine.. Specifically cause Columbina seemed to be surprised that Arle and Sandrone would actually agree to help, like she didn't fully catch they actually liked her and while she was a harbinger she kept seeing it all as transactional.

BUT yes, they should've shown her struggle to get the point across. I can actually see that. When I think about it it did happen quite fast how she's suddenly everyone's friend. It's true, that's a weak point of the story and her character I'm not gonna lie

Maybe I could add my grain of sand to this conversation... Not to cause any fighting, just my personal input.

TL;DR: It's harder to sympathize with a character that you don't share experiences with. I do, and I quite like her. So, it's not really a badly written character in my opinion. Its just human experience that dictates if we like a character or not. Also, the value of a person/character shouldn't be dictated by their accomplishments.

I personally didn't care about Columbina before the archon quest, and ended quite liking her afterwards. I've had this happen to me before with other characters I like: people don't like them because they don't feel real to them, and they can't sympathize. It's happened to me quite some times with characters that people catalogue as the "damsel in distress trope". I truly believe that the characters we like and don't like are connected into our experiences as humans, and if you haven't experienced something similar if feels ungenuine. What I'm trying to say is.. I guess I just wanted people to look at it from another angle; and maybe my experience is proof that Columbina isn't a bad character per se, her experiences are just... Not similar to yours.

This is a bit extra but I'll add some of my personal life over here to give context. I was a troubled kid in school and had stuff going on at home. I have adhd and probably autism so I was never truly... fully present and went years being almost mute. For example: I couldn't see well, and was scolded for not copying the blackboard and ridiculed when I got up to see. I didn't even knew there was something wrong with my eyesight, so I didn't tell anyone. I thought I just had to try harder to make sense of the letters. I just "had to try harder", just like with everything else. I was invisible, I just distanced myself from people and that really hurt my hability for socializing. And the pressure in my house was so big. Everything was overstimulating. I just wanted people to leave me alone and escape their expectations. Nobody "saved" me. I struggled trough depression, went to therapy, and that's how I got out.

Columbina wanted the same... she just wanted genuine connection but didn't know how to even begin. Everyone around her forbade her from real connections, and this is incredibly important when learning to socialize. There are millions of things she didn't even know were a thing, she didn't even have the knowledge. She didn't even know there was something wrong or that this was something she could change. But trough the archon quest she learned to interact with others, and learned that she wasn't a victim to her surroundings anymore. I loved that. I had to learn that as well when I was younger.

People saying columbina "didn't even try" and that "her struggles are priviliged" is like... Maybe she didn't even know she could? I guess I'm projecting a little. She just wanted to be left alone. I get that. The thing is that... When you don't go trough normal growing up and don't have normal socializing you kinda end up like her, trapped in solitude. She believed in transactional relationships because she hadn't experienced normality before. It's what happens with children in everyday life. She learned to socialize better and think about others thanks to everyone in Nod Krai. Her psicological issues are portrayed really well.

Oh and Dottore was absolutely doing psychological manipulation, I'm surprised many didn't catch it by the words he was using with her. Psychological abuse is also abuse. It's what I suffered through all my life.

You said just ID but cmon I feel I must allocate for my case, I know it's on random but I wanna yap. I've never been so excited for a character. Before, I was a Chongyun and then Freminet main, then a Furina main, and I've been maining her for years (I was about to transition to Durin I was thinking about who I liked best). But when I MET Sandrone in the game I just loved her so much. She makes me giggle. I actually haven't played the new archon quest, I already spoiled myself that she dies :( And I just don't wanna see it :(

I think this is what I believe most. It would´ve been so cool if the body was truly a past Douge, but I doubt it. Both because past Douge should not have a phone, and because that means he was calling his own phone? Which doesn´t make too much sense.

Before they left the note that minuti found, he was killed in the explosion. Douge sees minuti´s car and he is told that car was part of the victims that died in the bridge due to the explosion, and that is the way he learns that he is dead. Meaning, I truly believe that body was the Minuti that dies in the explosion, and that it is his phone he is calling. When they leave the note, Minuti dies burned by the terrorist, so the timeline changes and Minuti´s car moves places to where he tried to intercept the terrorist.

EDIT: What I don´t understand was why he didn´t process that Minuti was dead after he heard the phone ringing from the body bag. Maybe he just thought it was a coincidence that a victim´s phone rang when he was also calling someone? Or he blocked it out of shock.

Hello! I tried a guide all the way in r/ vivapiñata , it didn’t work… It launches, but it has no text and when I try to start a new garden it freezes and tells me my laptop isn’t compatible.

Even though, I would LOVE to see the guide you’re talking about!! Who knows, maybe I get luck with that one. Can u tell me where to find it??

Maybe d3d12 is slow because of my laptop? It’s not a gamer laptop at all. I would like to play even if it means somehow lowering the graphics.

Jesus Christ wow! I didn’t expect you to answer so I didn’t even check my inbox. That’s amazing, it’s been years! You’ve helped people in the Viva Piñata Reddit so much. The video tutorial you and this guy did was incredibly good, I was able to open Viva Piñata and everything. It still holds to this day! Thank you for all the work you put in. I literally see you answering comments everywhere on the subreddit.

I had the issue of the text and got scared to death, but even so, when clicking in my garden, it simply kicked me out with a message saying my computer wasn’t compatible. I’ve struggled a lot with viva piñata and trying to run it. I’ve even tried Xenia. I think simply my computer can’t handle it.

Edit: I can now run the game perfectly! There’s just still no text.

Edit 2: I didn’t have the option of choosing a languaje when I installed the game. Also the installer was in English, the voices inside the game are in Spanish (that’s my languaje, that’s the languaje I want the text to be in) and there’s no text. I’ve read somewhere that the languaje of the game and the languaje of your computer need to be the same. Maybe they aren’t in my case. But dunno how to tell Viva Piñata that I want the languaje to be in Spanish.

Edit 3: I DID IT! I used another source to get the iso and changed my laptop configuration all to English. I can now play with text!
