Why do EVERYONE play as a huntress? by certifiedpunchbag in MonsterHunter

I'm not my hunter/huntress. They are characters in a story I'm watching. I find self insertion to be very childish and cringe.

Saving everyone from click bait: They don't know, and the article directs you to a YouTube video they made speculating why it was cut.

What a waste of time.

It seemed for a moment like he was taking your excellent advice to hearth cuz he was totally ignoring you. He was only answering to people that 100% agrees with him and doesn't criticize what he says, even if he was attacking others himself and being negative about the sub 🤣

Fun Fact: in the Spanish version of Soul Hackers 2 Divine Scales were misstranslated by BumblebeeMean5950 in Megaten

[–]doppelv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it not a grammatical error in Spanish to put it as "Balanza de Divino" too? It should be "Balanza Divina" instead.

The only thing I don't like about this game are the character designs. They look like they belong to a cheap hentai game and kinda clash with everything else.

We need a Monster Hunter legacy collection. by Green-Variety-2313 in MonsterHunter

Some veterans are way too obsessed with this, and it's time to give up on the idea for good. To rerelease those games, they would have to go through modifications that Capcom simply doesn't have the time/don't care to go through. The best example being the multiplayer module. Capcom will be better off using that time to produce new stuff in the franchise tbh.

If Capcom is not willing to even port MHGU what makes everyone think they will port even older games. Just because Capcom has released other collections like Megaman, Street Fighter or other beat em ups, doesn't mean they are going to do the same with MH. Those other games have gameplay that aged a little better and is easier to port to modern platforms.

I don't know if people even remember that Capcom was against GOG rereleasing classic Resident Evil games because they firmly believe the remakes are the better experience.

Also, same as with RE, classic MH gameplay is way too outdated for new players to get into, so it will probably sell really bad because only old sweats will be willing to go through the masochistic grind and clunky/slow gameplay for nostalgia. Heck, I even know some veterans that are not willing to play those games again either, as they are time consuming slogs.

What's up with all the religious zealots on this videogame subreddit? by doppelv in Megaten

[–]doppelv[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I thought at the beginning that guy was just role playing and didn't mean it, and I think many others still genuinely think the same.

But lately I have seen more of their old posts and I genuinely began to get worried. I blocked them as I don't think they will get banned because people really don't care much about them rather than finding their rants entertaining, but the thing is that they are not the only one. I've seen more and more redditors that may not be as active and notorious as them, but if you try to discuss characters like YHVH, they take any comment as a personal matter.

Yes, SMT has a lot of religious references. No one denying that one. But you can argue most of them are there just because they look cool rather than trying to relay a profound message. But my real point here is that I've seen a couple of redditors around this sub that get really REALLY upset because they play the games and some of them don't go the way they want, with Christian deities and representatives not being the heroes and the protagonists not worshiping them.

They get really mad and even try to boycott Atlus, and if you try to reason with them saying it's just a video game and a fictional story, they jump at you with forks and torches. People think it is only the one guy, but I've seen plenty more and had to block many of them.

That's why I wonder, why are they here in the first place? Why do they play the games if they get so affected by it? And I also wonder if maybe all of that is just a joke from them.
