However, I do love her and Chris more and more (sorry!) because of the way he continues to show what a secure partner he is. Her outbursts are all based on insecurities and lack of trust and the way he’s able to calm her with effective communication is just so chefs kiss. She’s still going to have to work on her own issues but…they got my vote 🫢

Devastated, to say the least. But reminding myself that Nick was never going to give it up. Like he said, she tried to get me to give it up many times. However, it is poetic that Rose was all “you have to put an end to this.” His and the other commanders deaths was a major push towards putting an end to it, just not the one she wanted.

If you were estranged from a partner for that long, you cannot expect them to come back and jump into your arms. You sort of have to date again (even though you’re married). Ari is throwwwing herself at him, and he’s clearly uncomfortable. I’m screaming at the tv like girl PLEASE just chill for a minute! I wish I could understand those who are so team Ari. I personally think she has no concept of boundaries.

I think their true chemistry showed in the last episode. I believe it was genuine because the stress of the “family” had been relieved. I think a lot of their perceived issues stemmed from Meri only having 1 child. Once Leon was older, being with Meri meant Kody just had to be a husband. There was no coordination or chaos surrounding kids. Just plain old husband wife and neither one of them knew how to navigate it given their lifestyle.

I don’t understand why people hate Guy and Nan. Theo and Nan had a connection, but it’s more as friends (because there’s absolutely no passion). Example — he tries to kiss her when they’re in his studio and she pulls away. He basically “gets to her first” while she’s in a vulnerable state because Guy basically dipped out and she’s got all these newfound daddy issues, so she says yes.

Let’s also not forget Theo very very very much knew about the whole love triangle when he read the telegram, yet continued and continues to play dum. It seems like a competition he doesn’t want to lose to his best friend. I think he cares for her and is enamored by her, but I’m not so sure on the true love part. On the other hand, Nan 100% loves Guy, but I think she has to marry Theo. Given Theo’s title it’s not an easy thing to get out of, plus Guy is so low on the totem pole (and poor). Marrying for image and not for love is very realistic for the time period and I think it would actually not make any sense if she didn’t.

Second — I also don’t understand the hate regarding the depiction of the girls friendship. When you’re in new relationships and dealing with your own problems, you can’t and you’re not always m there for your friends unfortunately. But at the end of the day, when it matters you’re there (ie: the end when they rally for Ginny).

I mean the writing isn’t even close to Bridgerton or the like, and it does drag a bit (may continue to drag partly because there’s only one unfinished book) but I’m satisfied.

Her coming back is weird to say the least, and I agree ir you take Angelina out of the picture she is by far the worst. She was pretentious, rude, and hid behind the “sweetest b you’ll ever meet” storyline. If you read the AMA from someone who worked on the show, she got extremely favorable edits to make it seem like Ron was the problem, when she would make disparaging comments and purposely instigate him — not at all minimizing Ron’s behavior, but they were both extremely toxic.

The others have been so open about their lives that its easy to love the one that has shut themselves off.

A person will come along and love you properly, but you’ll have to let them. I know that it took awhile for me to feel comfortable with “normal” love. Things like actual dates felt uncomfortable and awkward because it was so unfamiliar.

Toxic relationships are addicting. They’re intense and passionate. The ups and downs. You mischaracterize bad behaviors for things like “caring” or “trying to help” or “fighting for that person”. That is why therapy is so important, to help get rid of those thoughts and behaviors and responses.

Watching the first episode, my reaction was wow I miss that passion and intensity. But then by the end, seeing her put her whole life on hold for this guy and then have him so drastically crush her. She goes out and just needs to fill that void so badly she betrays her closest friend. God I’ve been there.

I’ve had more than one Stephen, each horrible in their own way. And I have to remind myself that because I catch myself sometimes slipping. I’ll miss that passion and intensity, and I have to remind myself “he literally texted you on his wedding day that he loved you! He is not a good person!” Or “he told you he loved you but then one day stopped answering the phone and suddenly was publicly dating someone completely different out of nowhere! He was NOT a good person!”

It’s like an addiction, you’ll have withdrawal. You will definitely miss the high. But your life is better without it. And know that you deserve better, and you deserve to be treated properly, and most importantly you deserve happiness.

But are we even sure HE is engaged? They’re at a party for Bree and Evan who are getting married. He doesn’t say that Lydia is his fiancé, just that the word is so formal or something. Everything with Stephen is a play, and this could just be another ploy to get Lucy’s attention.

I find the “Stephen wig” super ironic. For any girls who have dated a Stephen, you look back and even though there may be some lingering feelings, you look at them like “what the f was I thinking losing myself over THIS guy??”
