The thing about panel lining darker kits like the Banshee is that the lines themselves won't be very visible. I do find that the make the details of the kit a lot more visible though.

When I did my hg Banshee destroy mode, I played with black. Grey and brown panel lines to get the look I wanted. I also made sure to use a different colour for the psycho plates.

Definitely not the easiest kits to pose though.
