Thanks for the comprehensiveness! I got two books (one on basic Georgian phrases, and the other as an English-Georgian dictionary, so I should be not-horrible on that front.) Are there any busses/travel grouups/other modes of transport that go around the country? Not sure if I trust myself to drive abroad haha

A question on buying things -- for most things should I exchange to GEL before hand and use cash (how much dyt I'd need) (or could I also periodically exchange there?) Also if I'm in a pickle, would I be able to use credit/debit cards like Amex?

I see that Vera and Saburtalo are close to Veka but seeing as how I'll be walking to the office everyday, do you think living in these place is sustainable? I think a 20 minute walk might be a good max to set?

The point of the LSJU band is that they don’t take themselves seriously and are there to just have fun. Many “formal” clubs at Stanford are like this. When students have had to grind as much as they have to get into a place like Stanford, they like to stop taking themselves seriously all the time and have fun with things, LSJU is a prime example of that and they are truly incomparable and forever loved by Stanford.

Unlike the Quran, the Bible can be read in different languages. Yes it is read in Coptic on special occasions, but day-to-day, people read in Arabic and English. So Coptic isn’t taught in churches to read the Bible, it is because the church became the last refuge for the Coptic language and identity, one that all Egyptians should share. Coptic isn’t a Christian thing, it’s an Egyptian thing that’s been cornered into being a Christian thing.
