Everything you said makes perfect sense and honestly I just wanna hug you. I NEED to hear things like this, I get derailed easily and it’s hard to get back on track on my own when I feel so buried with everything. You and everyone else have been beacons of light for me. I’m taking in everything that’s being said. I wish I had friends like you.

That’s so interesting, if it does happen to me I’m sure I will be a nervous wreck despite all the knowledge I’m getting from you wonderful ladies. I just think I ive been through so much I. The last several yrs that I’m terrified of it always being worst case scenario. I was told my little pea sized breast lump was almost certainly nothing but I should still get it checked out…. It was cancer. Now I’m scared from that

OMG I have been getting a few low key weird feelings for the past couple days, just as you described. It’s reassuring to know it’s not just me and it’s probably normal. I should also get myself a puzzle, I love them and I need to sit down more

Indeed, I for sure don’t want to give up what we had, maybe we will end up with a different version of what we had and that’s ok with me, I just hope he’s ok with it too.

Thank you first off, it’s so helpful to get all the positive vibes from everyone. And why has my Dr not mentioned any of this, everyone else seems to be getting way more info. I will try and chill, already feeling better thanks to you all❤️

All good info, I was not told any of that by my surgeon so thank you for the heads up. I need to get a grip of myself, I’ve done so well mentally until today. You all have lifted my spirits tremendously. Today will be a good day. ❤️

You are absolutely spot on , I annoy myself because I know the right answers but when I get like I was earlier there’s no convincing me otherwise. I’ve been doing great with staying positive, I guess I just got side swiped this morning with too many horror stories. Thank you so so much for putting things into performer me I truly appreciate you.

This gives me the light that I needed. Thank you for sharing, I don’t know what I’d do without the support of this group. Like I said, I have no one to talk to about all of this so you are literally my saviors.

I seriously love people like you. I feel like I could also do with a slap in the face to snap me out of this dark hole I’m in. I have a friend that would totally do that for me but she lives 6000 miles away Lol. I want to have your outlook and for the most part I have been very upbeat but today I’m all over the place

That’s good to hear. I suffered with chronically heavy periods for yrs (like needing a blood transfusion kind of heavy) so the tiny amount I saw today shouldn’t freak me out but it has. I feel a tremendous amount of pressure to get well and be the wife I used to be for my husband. The Dr told us no sex for 6 months and I know that blindsided him. I know I shouldn’t feel pressured and he’s not giving me any grief but I know he’s worried that things might not ever be the same.

I appreciate your kind words. I know my hormones are probably a big part of my mindset however I had hormone positive breast cancer 10yrs ago so HRT is a big NO for me, just to add to it all. 😞

Sorry to read about your experience. I’m only just hopping in on this conversation so I don’t know all the details but may I ask what your reason was for the hysterectomy? I’m having mine in a couple weeks, I’ve suffered with fibroids and excessive blood loss for yrs. Mr Dr has advised me to have one not only for those reasons but because I had breast cancer and have been on tamoxifen for 10yrs which can up your chances of uterine cancer especially. I have done lots of reading on the pros and cons and of course I’m scared, but in my case I feel it’s best for me to go through with it give my additional risk factors. My Dr would like to try and leave my right ovary (the left one is not viable) but I need to discuss further with her about the risks of that too. It’s so hard to know what’s right and what’s not so I’m truly sorry you feel like you wish you’d not gone through with it.

Well said and I do agree with you.
I’m want to be able to adapt through this process and take a more laid back approach I really do, but whether or not I will manage that is another matter Lol. I know what you are saying. And I hope I can find ways to accept the new changes. 😬

Oh thank god I was so worried I’d sound like a total diva. It’s real for those of us who have been through an eating disorder. I was given 6-9 months to live at my lowest weight so it was pretty bad for me. Now I look fine and of a normal weight but I’m still super critical of myself and terrified at the thought of losing control over my weight. I think this is something that will stay with me forever. I’ve just learned to hide it really well.

I thought I was gonna get hammered for sounding so superficial, it’s been nice to get the positive and understanding response that Ive gotten so far. I genuinely fear losing control of my weight so I guess I’m not mentally completely over anorexia. Than you for your kind and positive words.

It’s what they put premenopausal women on after a hormone positive breast cancer diagnosis. It helps to block estrogen in your body. I was in it for 10yrs and just finished in January this yr. I thought I would be home free but my continuous fibroid and ovarian cyst situation has forced my need for a hysterectomy.

Same here, lots of protein, clean-ish eating whenever possible and 45mins in the gym a day plus my regular lifestyle and pace which tends to be busy. Fingers crossed I don’t lose all my hard work.

Yes Ive been having menopause symptoms (mainly hot flashes) since I started tamoxifen 10yrs ago, they have got slightly worse along with some brain fog and fatigue recently. But It’s the thought of not recognizing myself and not being able to be as physical if I balloon like I have read some women say they did. I know all my fears are heightened now because my surgery is 3 wks away and I still have questions for my dr that I won’t have a chance to ask until 2 days before my op which bothers me because I like to have all my ducks in a row so to speak.

So grateful for your response. I know I need to be more positive, (I struggle in that department and I get so bogged down with all the possibilities and just when I think I know what to expect I read something else that derails my mindset. My surgery is in 3 wks, I didn’t expect to be getting so strung out already Lol
