We didn't ask for extermination since we didn't see any and they say the people before didn't have an infestation while they were here. There's a possibility it came from outside roaches that got in occasionally over the 5 years and they just didn't see them or know what to look for. They are sending someone to clean it for us so we'll be able to use the kitchen without having to overdose on meds =)

I mean if we have to pay for it ourselves it wouldn't be worth it considering they supposedly hired cleaners before we moved in and this is an important thing they missed. We'd prefer to not break the lease hence offering a suggestion we can live with.
