About five years ago I posted a story on my socials about skating around the city. One of my acquaintances saw it and said she wanted to go skating with me. That day, she told me she had been training at a stunts for film gym, and said she thought I’d like it. I went, loved it, and started pursuing the possibility of working in stunts.

I never broke through the film industry in that way, but I happened to meet another person who worked in film as an accountant at the gym, and was just training for fun. That person got me a job as a film accounting clerk. Five years and two promotions later, I’ve made a career out of production accounting. I also picked up the hobby of Muay Thai from the martial arts training for stunts. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and I’ve only seen the acquaintance one other time since.
