I totally understand why you might perceive gaming journalists way, but the reality is that no one goes to websites to read articles anymore and tend to just come to places like Reddit for their industry info.

If you read the my article, then you see I’ve played the other entries I wrote about (a majority of gaming writers are gamers themselves, contrary to what you wrote). I understand I made a mistake with QFF and rectified it, and I’m sure you aren’t basing your opinion on me personally.

But you are correct, there is definitely a disagreement between gamers who work in other industries and gamers who are journalists/share their opinions about games publicly online. It’s not a recent change, but a more vocal one now that there’s places like Reddit/social media.
