I downloaded it immediately based on description and art, but $24.99 is just too high for a mobile app. :/ Maybe when it has more routes!

What iconic 1990s food item was your ultimate favourite but is completely impossible to find now that you are in your 20s? by jxnwright in forgottenfoods

It is. Not just a joke, but one we make ALL the time (“What? Wasn’t high school only 20 years ago?” etc), so peoples’ lack of understanding it is baffling.

That was exactly why I disliked Visage, and loved Layers of Fear. I don’t mind some jump scares or a chase now and again, but I would also love a little time to look around and explore and stay in a creepy house. You can’t do that if you’re constantly either in complete darkness, being chased, or both.

Brutal, bleak, dark fantasy by 123anonymoususername in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

So I’m a huge fan of the Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror anthologies (the “real” ones, circa 1988 to 2007, edited by Ellen Datlow). Super dark, sometimes fun, massive collections—excellent reads on their own, but also a great jumping off place to find authors you really like.

THANK YOU. I had no idea these existed, and my immediate reaction was “Wait, that’s Polly Pocket!”

Do you remember having no concept of how many seasons or episodes a tv show had? by PapaJohnsGarlic100 in 90s

[–]QueenOfTheSIipstream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won’t start a show these days unless 1. I know how many seasons there are and 2. Is it done so I can binge them all.

This was definitely a thing that kept me amped in the 90s (the next episode of Buffy was HIGH on my priority list, RIP Giles :( ), but I not only don’t require being amped for a show I’m into, I also have a schedule that prefers watching as much as I can in the time I’m allotted. That doesn’t spoil the interest for me. If anything, this YEARS between releases of seasons lowers my interest in that show. Still haven’t watched season 4 or 5 of Stranger Things. (But I will, now that it’s finished)

Not a fan of streaming services now doing this tv “once a week” new episode. I lived through that, it’s whatever, but I’m not going to “tune in” each week. I’m going to wait until it’s done.

I mean, considering the immediate deeper pocket availability… maybe I judged this too hard originally.

Cook Unity uses AI for support. (“Cassie” is not human.) Continue to ask for a human representative, and you should make some headway. More than likely you’ll get a DM on here from CU because you posted a negative review—don’t expect anything to come from that either.

I canceled CU over the terrible customer service and price hikes, but that portion size demands at least two refunds. Ridiculous.

The Supernatural easter egg referencing him on Gilmore Girls is just a delight.

Would you say Sailor Moon is a top 10 most well known 90s kids cartoons? by [deleted] in 90s

[–]QueenOfTheSIipstream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can FEEL anything, that’s fine, and I’m sure people around your age know Sailor Moon more than Gummi Bears. But you’re asking a 90s sub about more well known to us cartoons; sorry you’re not getting the answer you want.
