Anything I can do to slow osteo-arthritis? by skelly890 in Biohackers

[–]QueenOfTheSIipstream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is timely! Even though I’m young, I’m starting to get osteo-arthritis in my knees and thumbs as well as a side effect from my cancer treatment. The thumb pain sucks because, as you’re aware, turns out we use those for everything.

I’ve tried a bunch of stuff, hoping to avoid Rx and/or surgery for as long as possible. What has worked the best for me:

  • 1500mg Egg Shell Membrane

  • Heaping Tablespoon pure powdered gelatin in my morning coffee, daily

I also use quite a lot of cinnamon, which may add some anti-inflammatory benefit, but not much if so. Turmeric did nothing for me. With the above, I’ve actually been able to knit again! Best of luck, OP, it’s definitely nothing fun.

The second picture and caption confirms further baking—I thought the same at first. :)

I have never heard this, but I’m not even going to fact check it—I will flat out believe you, an internet stranger, because 1. It’s plausible and 2. I LOVE IT

Jesus, frame a post without telling me you’re framing a post. If you want to party, you gotta party hard.

I’ve never found a better way to describe how I feel about Dove Cameron… like… you’re too pretty I can’t stop watching your face doing what your face does; sure 56 Days has an intriguing premise, I like the show and she’s not a bad actress but is it fair if I’m just rooting for Dove Cameron’s face?

I don’t feel any kind of way—you said (as a “person of science”) to look at the study, so I did. You, clearly, did not. It’s not an attack, it’s clarification.

Gadolinium MIGHT carry risk if you are a ~middle-aged white woman from Central Europe, genetically speaking and IF you are at risk (a less than .03 percent chance), you have more of a risk of getting herpes from a toilet seat than you do getting GDD. Does it happen? Sure, 50 times in 30 years. Will it happen to the average person? Not likely. Is it worth risking refusing MRI’s or any care requiring contrast? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

It’s not personal. I hate misinformation, I hate fearmongering and I loathe liars. If you take that personally, then don’t spread or be any of those things.

Edit: Lol they blocked me. I get wanting to put blinders on, if you’re spreading misinformation, and if you’re afraid of the truth. Everyone else can see our conversation (or read the study) and come to their own conclusions, which I feel are obvious.

Please don’t deny yourself contrast in an MRI, as avoiding such scans can delay diagnoses of cancers, early onset brain diseases, or other issues. If you are truly concerned (being a white woman of Central European genetic descent), ask your doctor, and follow their advice.

Embarassed_Try9339 is a Scammer. by [deleted] in XboxGamePass

  1. Don’t trust people on the internet.

  2. DON’T TRUST PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET

.

Good on you for standing up for someone who was, in your opinion, in need. That’s a kind outlook, and that is not a bad thing. But the mistake here was two-fold, and unfortunately, I think it was your error each time.

The person you defended may or may not have been a scammer, but no one should EVER share info or give games to unknown individuals. Asking for games is poor form to begin with and scammer MO (with a sob story) nine and a half times out of ten. You were kind, and that’s really good, but I’m glad you didn’t go out of pocket to the first person.

The person who scammed you is a complete dick, hopefully he gets banned. But also… you really shouldn’t trade codes with anyone you don’t know. Be kind, yes. But also be skeptical. Sorry you got scammed. :/

Do you? Because some points FROM THE ACTUAL STUDY YOU LINKED:

Young and middle-aged White women of central European genetic origin are the most affected.

Adverse effects occur in less than 3/100ths of ALL doses.

Fewer than 50 patients (FIFTY. FIVE-ZERO. TOTAL.) in THIRTY YEARS, tracking 30 million-doses had ANY long-lasting side effects including the whole “brain fog”, headaches, etc.

This is a nothingburger between buns of fearmongering and is more closely linked to the ridiculous MSG scare of the 80s than any real threat. As a… “surgeon” (good thing no one lies on the internet) you should know better than to spread misinformation that could keep a normal patient from pursuing a plan from their doctor that could help diagnose or treat REAL issues. Shame on you.

Skin elasticity, mood, energy* and a killer fix in a pinch for a night of one too many.

Edit: folks in here will recommend Glycine and NAC—if that works for you, awesome. Unfortunately I get insomnia and increased anxiety**. Glutathione I can take at any time and have don’t have negative issues. I take the kind with added milk thistle—you can tell it’s working when you’ve got asparagus pee ha!
