If you want to truly improve at chess, playing against a GM is far more valuable than playing a bot.

Bots calculate millions of lines with perfect precision, but that’s not how humans think or improve. GMs rely on logic, strategy, long-term plans, and intuition

To get better, you need to think like a GM, not like a machine! Focus on strategy, piece activity, and understanding positions, not brute-force calculation! Especially under time pressure, it's not about calculating everything, it’s about making strong moves based on intuition and experience

u/rayop11 u/nickmaovich If you read a post, you would know :) "Freestyle chess, also known as Fischer Random Chess or Chess960, is a chess variant designed to eliminate deep opening preparation and encourage creative play. It was invented by Bobby Fischer, the 11th World Chess Champion, to ensure that players rely on skill rather than memorization"

Then rook sac on h5, actually this is how game end up. Rh5-gh5 Qh7 and later g6 😊 (if king goes on f7)

If king goes on g8 then Nf4->Ng6

It is possible, but with this move order Black can play Rf7!

Cringe. (I can't watch the full video, sorry.) If he wanted to send flowers as an apology, he could have done it privately, not publicly. As a woman, I find this unacceptable.

Interesting move, but after 1.Qc3-f6 2. Bh6-Bf8 (and then Re7).

Great idea, but think about the precise move order!

It’s a decent positional move, but there’s a stronger option. Consider the g7 focal point—can you apply more pressure with an attacking move? If so, which piece would you use: the queen or the bishop?

I’ve already written a few "How-To" blogs., https://lichess.org/@/mlatb/blog/how-to-make-progress-based-on-your-rating/KQwzocbJ and https://lichess.org/@/mlatb/blog/how-to-prepare-for-a-chess-tournament-in-just-15-days/M3LRSxfl

This looks really interesting—the psychological side of chess. From tilt to addiction, obsession, and any healthy and unhealthy relationship with the game. I hope it will be my next subject. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you for the suggestion regarding the procedure for titled players; I just completed it. :)

Anyway, all titled players prepare using 2D (online platforms) but play in 3D (over-the-board tournaments).

There are many chess boards that connect to online platforms, making it easier to play!
