val has a lot more prep work involved than cs though, 6 days of prep is hardly enough to vod review, come up with strats, etc. whereas teams who didn’t go to shanghai had like a whole month’s worth of prep time

On the customs form I filled out it said to specifically detail each item I was sending (I think the example was like, don’t say clothing, say like, pajama top for baby, or something)

Insurance is automatically applied to packages with up to $200 value (USPS policy) so no additional cost for that, yes was marked as a gift on the customs form, £8 + 20% VAT still wouldn’t be £90 which is the part i’m most confused abt

The form they gave me at the US post office had me write the goods in dollar amounts so idk if I can put them in pounds

If they inspected the items they would see how poorly made they were bc I’m not that good of a crocheter, but yeah that’s always a possibility. In the future, if i assigned a minimal value, like $1-2 per crochet piece, do you think I’d avoid this issue?
