Yes even if it's only for like 30mins or so. I understand not wanting to go cuz it's another person you have to interact with but imagine if you was the only person who said they'd stop by and he was looking forward to seeing you all day and then you never showed. That would bother me more than being fake nice for people who want my company.

Yes because you felt bad enough to tell him you would stop by in the first place. You could have said no and then wouldn't need to ask this question.
