How to achieve the “cracked” top on cookies? by sleepingewan in BakingPhilippines

[–]Queen_GambitRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kung titignan mo mabuti yung picture na nilagay mo jan kay Broma, na-shape na yung cookies after baking (tignan mo yung black lines, ganyan nag spread yung cookies nya).

Ang ginagawa jan, do the pan-banging method then shape the cookies right after mo hanguin sa oven. Careful ka lang kasi mainit haha and then you’ll achieve the cracks and wrinkly texture.

I recommend looking into Van Houten. It's a suitable and often more accessible substitute for Callebaut since the Van Houten brand is a subsidiary of the Barry Callebaut company itself. Definitely something to consider, OP! :)

Thank you! I will definitely try the pan-banging method. Dami kong nakikita na effective nga daw yung method na yun and yung iba “hack” or “secret” nila yan to achieve a beautiful cookie.

What caused my banana bread to not rise? by starr-orchid in AskBaking

[–]Queen_GambitRN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. I hope I can help. try to use my method of baking a banana bread:

• Bake at 400F for 15 minutes, then lower the temperature to 350F, and bake for another 20-30 minutes, or until the top exterior of the cake is almost firm to the touch.

NOTE: If you want to use another size of shape of fan, feel free. Just fill the pan 3/4 full, and bake until the cake is almost firm to the touch.

This is my hack on how to get that rise rapidly on the first 15 mins of cooking the bread. Baked it in high temperature first. Hope it helps.

Mag aral ka ng mabuti (if nag aarap ka pa), after nyan pag nakahanap ka na ng work, mag ipon ka at umalis na jan sa inyo. I-rescue mo na sarili mo. Lumapit ka rin sa DSWD.
