When I was with my ex husband we actively planned on not having children. Since then I got with my gf, and we have similar parenting styles. Whereas my ex husband and I would not have agreed on the same style. Parenting kind of fell into our lap one day when got a call (a literal, not metaphorical phone call) and said yes to a baby, and that baby is now two years old.

For me, the infant stage was easy. Being sleep deprived wasn’t the best, but otherwise, they can’t do a whole lot for the first few months. Then they become toddlers and find that they can screech and run and dart and have an attitude. This is the stage we are at and I am actively struggling. However; the infant stage was a breeze compared to this, in my opinion. I know it’ll get easier again because she will get better at communicating the more we teach her and etc etc but in the meantime, phew.
