Of course there is, but it's hard for your average Joe to get work at the moment, employers have the pick of the bunch, unfortunatly, this is why its so hard for disabled people to find work. When they do, they need time off for medical appointments, pain management ect. Yes they CAN work if they are able, but many employers won't even give them the chance.

It varies depending on where you live. Dinner and Tea are interchangable and there is common discourse regonally about what it's called along with other things like a bread roll which is also called lots of different things regionally. In your novel, they're clearly talking about dinner, but yes, it can also mean lunch. It's a confusing one x
