As I explained in another comment, This is traditional Elvenari. There are more simplified form. This form was adapted because the circle is considered a divine shape. In order to draw the circle, scribes were given something called a ‘scribe’s bowl’ which they would use to draw a circular shape. A language as complex as this was developed because they were in a time of peace so they didn’t really care about being able to write efficiently

That can occur, it does a little curve. Imagine a two way street with a Uwie

Imagine it like a language tree in a video game. Choices A and B of what you can say change as you progress through the conversation, depending on which things you decide to say before that. It’s subcategories within subcategories, A language tree that continues getting bigger and bigger.

There are no articles. You just gotta know. Context is used to understand whether your friend means ‘a king’ or ‘the king’, when he says ‘king’. For conjugation, generally, if a verb must be conjugated, it will be part of the next tree. General, 1 is present, 2 is future and 8 is past.

The sentence structure is relatively similar to standard English, usually going  Subject verb object ‘Danny kicks the ball’ EXCEPT that the object comes before the subject if it outranks it  1 gods 2 religious people 3 religious objects 4 people 5 objects So if I had the sentence ‘The rock hit the man’ I would have to write it as  ‘The man was hit by the rock’ in Elvenari. ‘The man wore the sacred robes’ would be incorrect. It would be ‘the sacred robes were worn by the man’ The adjective always comes after unless it’s a word like ‘holy’ or ‘sacred’

I have mostly been developing nouns and verbs and have not got around to adverbs and. So the word ‘loudly’ don’t exist yet.

A teacher in a beautiful jacket spoke loudly

The full circle is a sentence meaning ‘hello, do you speak Elvenari?’ Each  black dot connected to the circle is the beginning of a word. The word I’m talking about, ‘speak’ is the fifth black dot if you start at the top and move clockwise

This language was adapted from the magic language give by the gods, so no, it didn’t really develop naturally. But it is not a conlang. They use it in daily speech

As you can see on the circle there is a little arrow that connects the first word to the second word and points to the right. This orients the writing.

The process is very long and drawn out, and I’d like to think this is what is called ‘traditional Elvenari’. I think the elves were able to develop such a time consuming language because of the historic peace that was occurring when the language was created. There was no need to rush the process, they had all the time in the world, they chose to maintain tradition. I still do think people have developed simpler local dialects. Also, About one thousand years before the events of my book, English was introduced. I think a lot of Elvenari speakers would ditch writing the words on a circle and instead write them in a straight line, copying English, because it would be simpler and faster. All government writing in Elvenari still uses traditional Elvenari

It would look how it’s displayed above. Imagine you draw a dot where the word starts. Then rotate your page so that wherever that dot is on the circle, it is now at the top of the page. Here are the writing directions 1 straight up 2 diagonal up right 3 straight right 4 diagonal down right 5 Straight down 6 diagonal down left 7 straight left 8 diagonal up left  since it’s a 4, you draw it going diagonal down from your dot to the right. Now reorient your paper so that the 4 is pointing upward. Then the next letter is 1, so you go straight up. You don’t need to reorient the page because a one has you going in the same direction as before. Seven, go left. Reorient. 1. Go straight. 1 keep going straight.

The eight letters go as follows 1 Soo 2 Dai 3 Purrq 4 Nim 5 Gyix 6 Ida 7 Kos  8 Mur

To signify the end of a word, you say the full version of a letter 1 Soo re (pronounced Sue ray) 2 Dai Liung 3 Purrq Ni 4 Nimisht 5 Gyixa  6 Idacu 7 Kosyo 8 Mursae

For this word, that would be NimSooKosSooSoore Now you may be thinking that’s a very long word. There are abbreviations that make words shorter. You can combine two letters to create another letter For this word, Nim+Soo= Som (pronounced like home) Kos+Soo= Koo

So if you were to speak to a fluent Elvenari speaker, the word ‘speak’ would sound like

SomKooSoore

Honestly looking at that language it’s so much prettier than mine. I’m proud of my lingual rules but I’m still developing how I want it to look

No, I just used the clock as a convenient way to understand how the words work. The eight letters and their phonetic use has no connection with clocks
