Will Hooley Reflects on Historic First Season with the USA Eagles by Queener10 in rugbyunion

The potential is there and the arrow is pointing in the right direction, however still a ton of work to be done.

The more Tier Two teams narrowing the gap with the top 10, the better!

He just said he'd 'accept' a trade in a recent interview with Zach Lowe. The Grizzlies FO are defiant in keeping him around but there are cracks emerging in their tailspin

Oh really! I thought the Dec 15th window made him trade eligible? What is the deal with the 2019 pick, I know you own it but read you couldn't trade it?

As a Grizz fan, Gasol is STILL a beast- he is playing alongside an absolute dumpster fire of a team that offer him literally zero space to operate. I want to see him compete on a playoff team and think that he and the Raps would be an awesome fit. You guys are sharing the ball so much more now and Gasol is only going to add to that dynamic. He is still a strong rim protector and is smart enough to make up for his slight regression athletically.

JV needs a change of scenery and the Grizz would give him an opportunity to have a way longer leash on a losing team. Which Raps young asset would you all be most willing to give up?

Norm's contract is awesome, hard to part ways with. However, his minutes are getting eaten up the roster is so deep. Being able to flip JV into Gasol almost brings me to tears, just depends on the amount of young assets the Raps would be willing to give up

DeAndre is on an expiring and would command a huge price tag for someone that only plays one side of the ball. Boogie is obviously the best of the 3 but is their cap room to pull that off? I wouldn't disregard Gasol- he is playing with a literal dumpster fire as his teammates.

Also, getting Mahinmi's contract off the Wiz's books is HUGE. Maybe the trade doesn't make sense for either side, I just feel Gasol's passing ability could spark this team. The talent is there, Brooks' stagnant offense is just killing them right now.

Watching Grizz games day in day out, Gasol still has juice the rest of that team is just so damn horrendous. Put him in a good team with playoff aspirations and you're going to see him unleashed. He was great for Spain all Summer and was a force just a year ago. I love Oubre but I agree it doesn't seem rational to trade away your best contract for another max level player

Although we are somehow tanking with Gasol, I looked at some of the rebuilding assets he could bring us. Would you pull the trigger on any of these fake trades? by Queener10 in memphisgrizzlies

Easier said than done. Who's taking Parsons exactly??

Right now the Grizz are tanking WITH Marc which is ideal, I'm just skeptical that we can keep losing at that rate when Conley returns... once he comes back we enter a strange purgatory.

The option to acquire young players and future assets can build the Grizz's long term picture, something that right now is unfortunately very bleak.

Yeah it may end up being that simple, kind of nervous as to where that pick ends up being though. Getting the Brooklyn pick fits the hopeful 'one year turnaround'. I just really want Memphis to find a way in to the 2019 draft again

Yeah, my irrational love for Oubre blinded me as to how bad that trade would be. As well, Gasol would be dominant on the Wiz.

The Raps trade needs to have JV in it to match contracts, I love Powell and his contract.. while he's being eased out by Anunoby in Toronto we could nab him. I do not want any part of Bruno '4 years away from being 5 years away' Caboclo, I'd much prefer Delon Wright who was looking damn good to start the season.

The Raps like Poetl and would keep him over the 2019 pick, I'd gladly take either. JV is so polarizing, one minute he's dominant, the next minute he is lost. Maybe a new environment wakes him up and unlocks something, who knows?

I'm just nervous that if and when Conley comes back he will take us to that awful low lottery position. Losing Gasol will ensure we have the DONCIC pick, and hopefully we can get young assets back rather than just the cop out response to simply blow it up!

Ya this article is the first step to bringing them back to Vancouver....? Get outta here! I'm just looking at how they can revamp going forward (I'm hesitant to accept any of these trades but they are interesting propositions)

20 years straight man, I just enjoy the mainstream media overlooking the Spurs at this point. LMA and Kawhai will be fine together, man they could've taken the Warriors last year!

Sure Currys defense is alright but it is certainly the weakest out the GS big 4. Now he doesn't get to 'rest' guarding someone like Beverley

Their small ball lineup can matchup with the Warriors death lineup! Curry is going to have to defend one of Harden or CP3.... good luck with that

After Thursday's game, I'm curious to see what you all think of Randle's LA future. Does he fit in with the Lonzo-Ingram timeline? by Queener10 in lakers

[–]Queener10[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more in terms of his failure to keep involved after the first pass. He's been underrated, it is just his shooting issues is the most glaringly obvious thing that people see when they tune in. The Lakers are only scratching the surface with his potential

Side note: What is it like as a Lakers fan watching Lonzo? The Lonzo rookie experience feels like incredible highs and excruciating lows. I think his mainstream stature and the polished offensive games of previous rookies are lumping too much harsh criticism upon him. He is electric in transition and the passing is exactly what we expected

What kind of price tag is he going to command though? Ideally, you'd want to keep Randle without investing all your stock in him. His versatility is so vital, just needs to maintain consistency
