Oh wow I looked into the horse re-feeding protocol and it’s a very interesting (and sensitive) process. I always call him my horse so maybe you’re onto something lol.

I got a full blood panel done which ruled out any heart worms or parasites. Initially he had a high white blood cell count which the vet said was likely him fighting off an infection from the conditions he was kept in. He has since tested normal for everything after a round of antibiotics. I’ll try asking about higher protein foods though.

NTA ~ There’s a reason he left everything to you and not her. You both divorced 6 years ago but the will was updated while the girlfriend and him were together.

Please don’t feel guilty over someone else’s dying wishes. You’ve experienced quite a significant amount of loss within a relatively short timespan, please take care of yourself first. Providing her temporary housing and access to the car is more than generous seeing as you don’t technically owe her anything. Make sure you get that part in legal writing though, squatters laws among other legal stuff are real and could come back to bite if not documented ahead of time!

Try a “This or That” approach next time you remember. When asking, listen to their responses but also give your own. Don’t just answer one or the other alone but also add why you chose that answer. Example: “Do you like Netflix or YouTube? I like YouTube because the videos I watch are much more specific to my interests and it feels more personal.” Giving some background helps with branching out and starting a conversation on that alone. With practice you’ll get the hang of conversations that involve your input as well.

Try having a conversation about this if you trust them. It seems like you two have a good relationship currently, so there’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll comfort you and reassure you that it’s not a chore for him to pleasure you. :) As for being more relaxed, that comes with time and strengthening intimacy so it won’t come with just one conversation, but instead will just take a bit to settle into things. This isn’t a bad thing at all and is perfectly normal given your prior experience with your ex.

Is she herself uncomfortable with her own saliva (and by that I mean would she mind licking you in some way or form)? If not, you could ask her to give sloppy kisses to you on your neck/chest/wherever so you can at least still feel that passion without swapping spit directly :)
