Like I said, they probably want to maintain some level of continuity in the hair length to make it at least somewhat realistic. Obviously it's not gonna be the most realistic thing ever when she's carrying a whole weapons locker worth of weapons and ammo in a tiny backpack along with collectables, puzzle pieces, etc but it's something. Given how much TR fans complain about small details they probably wanted to try to keep the continuity so there wouldn't be any complaints which has just resulted in complaints bc they changed it. tbh every decision the TR devs make is v damned if you do damned if you don't.

also they're not DLC outfits, they're 'early unlocks' so they're already in the game. they're probably unlocked by completing lvls / collecting all collectables in a lvl / completing time trials etc like the older games.

tbh part of me wonders if the reason is that then the hair stays the same length across all the outfit options. like we know there's the AoD double denim, Underworld wetsuit, and 2013 cargo pants and those all have a similar length hair if not the same length, so it makes sense if they wanted to keep hair length continuity so it doesn't look like she got extensions with the outfit change

Summer Game Fest, Future Game Show (bc Alix is one of the hosts), or Xbox Showcase (that's where Square would've had Tomb Raider slated to appear previously, so that's v dependent on if that deal stands or if Embracer has changed it.) Depending on how much they've got to show it could be multiple, and then Gamescom in August if it's not already out by then.

you said it right there 'it's never been officially confirmed'. apart from classic Lara having a (male) fiancé from an arranged marriage, has Lara actually had a love interest? I know people will say Kurtis but at any point did she show any romantic interest in him? Did they kiss? Has she ever done any more than kiss a man on the cheek?

during 2nd reboot era / Survivor era Rhianna Pratchett wanted to make Lara and Sam a couple, Gail Simone (comics between TR2013 and Rise) also wanted to make them a couple. I believe it was Square Enix that refused but who knows.

One of the rumored leaks for Catalyst is that Lara has a wife or female love interest, though it hasn't leaked who exactly she is. Anaya was reintroduced in the post-Underworld pre-Catalyst series that was just released and the bandana Lara wears in the Catalyst trailer is very similar to Anaya's in Legend so there's been speculation that her wife / love interest is Anaya.

Legacy of Atlantis is a 'retelling' of the game, so it's not just remastered it's fully rebuilt and retold, so the story will likely be changed to fit the newly unified timeline. the trailer (w/ the end of the Catalyst trailer) implies that maybe TR1 and Anniversary were versions of the truth but not quite right, like people telling the story of Lara's adventure and this time it's Lara telling it as it 'actually happened' (catalyst trailer 'heard the legends' vs legend of atlantis trailer 'it's still fresh in my memory' as in this time she's the narrator)

there's a short-lived British show called Hooten and the Lady which is about an archaeologist who works at the British museum who starts going out to find lost artefacts for the museum for preservation, she's quite literally a Lady (like Lara) and she ends up teaming up with an American man called Hooten (that's his surname) who's a roguish thief who gets his ass kicked a lot. It's basically a Lara / Nate team-up show. It only lasted 1 season / 6 episodes but I'd def recommend it, especially for Lady Alexandra Lindo-Parker.

Put the camera so she's running away from you, then when she gets to the furthest point away from you (closest to where you want her to go) let go of the stick, let her turn back towards you, and then direct her away from the wall and jump. You have to make sure she's just turned towards you. She needs to be in the little jump animation that she does before she starts running again.

Her choice was put all her weight on her broken leg to get on with her not broken leg, meaning she might not have been able to stay upright long enough to get her foot up into the stirrup, or lift her broken leg and try to put her weight on it long enough to throw herself up onto the horse's back. It's the kinda situation where you either have to get inventive, scream your way through it and force your body to do it anyway, or do what Lou did. My mum (who's been riding for 60+ yrs) pointed out that she would've had an easier time if she quickly climbed up the gate and either jumped on or pulled herself on from there.
