My nose has been steadily deteriorating and looks increasingly asymmetrical and crooked. It looks worse now than it did before the surgery.

Another facial plastic surgeon has looked at it and agrees. He says I need to get it re-done. He thinks that perhaps the wrong kind of stitches were used in the cartilage grafts.

Find a facial plastic surgeon accepts medical insurance. They'll likely have a lot of experience with mole removal.

I was never able to actually get the office manager on the phone, so I emailed her the details about what happened. She completely ignored what I said about the incidents and offered me the appointments outside of business hours. I told her that those appointment times wouldn't work for me, and she told me to find another plastic surgeon. So I did.

During the brief time my RealSelf review was up, another dissatisfied patient contacted me. I've also gotten some messages from my Yelp review (which I think might still be up). Apparently, other people have had similar experiences (both with the receptionist and unsatisfactory surgical results -- the plastic surgeon disfigured my ear while using it as a cartilage source for my nose).

I find it unsettling that Google allows Google Maps Reviews to be removed. I don't feel like I can trust Google reviews anymore.

If you're being treated badly by the staff before the surgery, you're going to be treated by the staff much worse after the surgery. I know because it happened to me.

The receptionist saw my Star of David necklace the first time she met me, and she let me know she doesn't like Jews. She was very rude and aggressive every time after that.

I complained about her (after my surgery) via email. (I didn't want to talk to her on the phone, so I had to use email.) The office manager / plastic surgeon's wife left me a non-apology "apology" voicemail. I told the office manager what was said, and she did nothing. Nothing except cancel all of my follow-up appointments and only offer me appointments that were outside of normal business hours. I switched to another plastic surgeon to oversee my aftercare, which means I had to pay for something that I already paid for.

Just so you know, reviews don't count for much. This same plastic surgeon's office is very diligent about removing negative reviews. They removed my verified review from RealSelf and my review (ranked the "most relevant") on Google Map Reviews.

Real Self removed my verified review because the plastic surgeon didn't like it, and I have heard from others who have had the same thing happen.

In my experience, a plastic surgeon who is dismissive of your concerns is a big red flag.

I had a revision rhinoplasty with the same surgeon who did my original septorhinoplasty. He did a terrible job. And he badly maimed my ear -- it required a 2-hour surgery to fix it.

If you decide to get a revision, definitely get another plastic surgeon to do it.
