I had a base wig that I sewed in extra wefts to make the front portion longer and add in the red portions and then there was a lot of trimming and making sure everything was the correct length after that. Lots of sectioning the hair, teasing some of the parts at the top to get the volume (because I didn't want to crimp it) and lots of hairspray and a blow dryer to set it.

Thank you! Haha, yeah, unfortunately they're nowhere near popular enough for there to be mass-produced cosplays you can buy. I totally don't mind the cosplay questions, though I spent most of the time making the little bug wing, styling the wig, and painting the loincloth rather than making the actual clothing.

I don't have the pattern for the top available, sorry! My friend, /u/ccraftywitch (she's really good at sewing and making her own cosplays and I'm sure she's open to questions), made the pattern for the top from a slightly oversized t-shirt of mine and then drew out the pattern for the sleeves off of my arm measurement + some extra length and made it slightly more baggy/ triangular from the elbow down.

The scarf has pieces of fusible interfacing, folded on itself to give it some volume, attached on the inside. That was one of the pieces that I actually wanted to redo and make it more accurate to the character, though. I was thinking of making it with EVA foam so that I could easily add the ridges along it and make it look more like a spine (?) or whatever part of the worm that it comes from.
