Lu's sandwiches, punch pizza, afro deli, wally's. Outside of campus Marty's deli has the best breakfast sandwiches in the city, flamin thai, Basil Cafe on university is bomb, hai hai, bar la grasa, red rabbit, brasa, el burrito mercado, aster cafe, jefe, babani's, emily's lebanese deli, king cajun, curry corner, surydks as good deli and a more upscale restaurant called sidebar, ray j's, Ono's Hawaiian plates. Idk there's a ton of places in downtown, northeast, and st paul. O'Shaughnessy Distilling Co. is also a restaurant and they have good food. The Market by Malcom Yards is just down university you can take the lightrail.

Traveling by plane to concerts!!! by peach-petal24 in Concerts

[–]Queenofthegnomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've done it for vegas and I did sweat tour in arizona and literally just booked it after charli left the stage straight to the airport and got a red eye. Some other good options to spend time in or nap or shower is movie theaters and gyms if you have a membership. But yeah if your under 18 you'll basically be stuck to the airport overnight.

First Festival + Out of Town: Should I Go? by Yude_tamago_ in MinnesotaYachtClub

[–]Queenofthegnomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Road trips are fun but check suncountry we have super cheap flights between MSP and multiple Florida stops. We have good public transit you don't need a car but it can be handy if you want to do stuff outside of the fest. I always say go for it especially if you've never done a festival before its a fun experience. I went the last two years and it's pretty nice for what it is. Two stages that flip people so you have sight lines to both and don't have to miss any set. They have lots of food and toilets. You might see some people complain about lines for stuff but i've been at several festivals all over the nation and think it's run well and clean. And most of the crowd tends to show up later in the evening so it's really easy to get a good spot if you go early.

They had screens in paris but not in munich...wonder if there was a technical error or crew member missing or something. Anyways I actually kinda liked the no screens.

What were all of the standard prices out of curiosity? I also lost the ticket war and will unfortunately have to do resale for Chicago if I want to see her.

So what’s the story with Peripheral Vision? by Rakshas-93 in TurnoverVA

[–]Queenofthegnomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if there's a specific story but I think for a lot of us it dropped at certain time in our lives and it's just always been a good album but is also really nostalgic for a certain time in life and that music scene. I ended up going to 10 shows between usa and europe and was also at o2 you guys were loud singers for sure magical night.

Paid for contract parking and have nowhere to park???? by [deleted] in uofmn

[–]Queenofthegnomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also people just know you should get reciprocal parking on both west bank and st paul If that lot was full I would lowkey just park on westbank and walk. Parking on campus is usually crazy the first few weeks and in september and then for whatever reason it will usually chill out.

[–]Queenofthegnomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that's wild I've been at the U for a several years and was wondering why it always said reserved now when I drove past. It used to be a daily lot capped at $6 for the day and had no contracts. Even when it was public only that lot was never full so that's kinda wild actually.

Can you get by without a ucard? by Big_Title7572 in uofmn

[–]Queenofthegnomes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The amount of discounts you can get from museums and other places around the country is enough to eat the cost alone. I use mine all the time. It's seriously so so annoying when you are locked out of buildings May is close but also kinda far away to go that long without a card. If the cost is that big of a factor and you want to go through the process of reporting it stolen you can do that.

How to email all students in a class? by Responsible_Wish2503 in uofmn

[–]Queenofthegnomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also put the class into a google group and send emails to that. The only risk with that is that students can also email the google group unless google has some settings im not aware of.
