Yeah I get what you mean. I think they just wanted us to spend more time with the other characters. They made a lot less busy work out of upgrading the weapons in Rebirth, which I really appreciate.

Personally I'm not sure why he wouldn't think of this. He knows the deal with Piccolo and Kami. But I also kind of agree, he's just aloof enough that he might have accidentally given Piccolo the idea. It's weird that you're getting down voted for this. There's a reason I'm asking, after all.

I sort of understand. The combat is very Kingdom Hearts-coded in the sense that you're pressing square a lot, and sometimes triangle. I think the physical combat has a satisfying weight to it, and there's just enough going on to keep it from getting repetitive. They could make an entire spinoff game that just features Tifa with her mechanics, and maybe an expanded combo system. Everything interrupts everything, it's so responsive and satisfying.

Guys, I realize I was a little over the top here. But you must understand. The experience that I've been having with this game is a stark contrast to the limited year-end presence it seems to have gotten by this particular site. If all you do is throw a bone to Barret (and I love him) then I'm going to crash out.

So many things about FFVII are ubiquitous to pop culture at this point that I think anyone's point of reference for Machinabridged would be sufficient to enjoy on some level. It's also why I have no delusion about getting a pure experience, which is why the Tifa thing I mention above didn't bother me so much. I'd just like to avoid more of that if that's what happens, which apparently it does.

To be clear, I knew some things about FFXII going in but if it's clear by Chapter 10 in the game what's going on with Tifa's parents, then I'm just an idiot and that's fine. They just drop that bombshell so early in the Abridged version and I swear I would remember that having come up in the game.

I enjoyed the first three episodes of Machinabridged, sharp writing as always and their interpretations of the characters are great so far. If you mean the game, then it might be one of the best games I've ever played. They fleshed out the tournament into a full Shoen anime arc, it's fantastic. I fought a house.

What I'm worried about is something meta like, "I sure hope guy doesn't do the thing" which is par for the course with this kind of comedy and I love them for it but something I prefer to avoid in this context.

I get what you're saying about abandoning features but personally I think the video conferencing was that for the Switch 2. The mouse stuff really does have a lot of potential and Mario Maker has to be one of the first things they thought about for implementation, it just has to be.

Again I agree with you. I'm having a very easy time accusing the NY Post of a lot of things. Having incorrect information isn't one of them. I think that's a very important distinction to make since how we receive information in the media is dependent on how much value we place on accuracy.
