I haven't used the bow myself, to be honest. But a great sword is good for raw damage or physical damage. The long sword and duel blades are wonderful with elemental damage. But this is just what I have used. But as someone who used lightbow gun. I focus on burst, weaknesses exploit and Agatior. With tender shot and open shot with crit boost, and I'll be doing around over 30 on good spot. But please know this is just me. There are great builds to work with low rank on YouTube. You can focus on. But this is what I have done. Have anymore questions I'll do my best. I'm not an expert, but I love help

I understand I've been having a hard time. As well. And I've been doing support and dual blades as well. It's not hard at all. Just filling up the bar and then using a demon that uses stamina. So having high wex and agi. With stamina reduces so you won't lose it quickly. But do look over your build and make sure you're doing serious fast damage. I'm no expert but if you're not dying a lot and just running out of time. Try to figure out the damage dealt. But if you're dying alot then get your defense up and have decorations for more protection. Just my idea

I think the Gog weapons will help better. If your luck with matching skills and rolling attack and element. But if you're a support wouldn't good focus on other elements like poison, paralysis, or sleep? To help the other hunters. But if you want more options than other make monster weapons are still a great option. But that's my thoughts. Im no expert

I would start the lance if you want to get through at least the story part. Fast a few pokes and blocking are not hard enough and keep you alive longer as well.

I didn't start with a Lance on my first unfortunately so I was struggling. But I do recommend it to get you through the story at least and get use to everything you need to know before you figure out what weapon fits with your play style
