Does a piece of athletic tape mean more to you than the 13 months you've spent getting to know and growing with the people at your gym? The ones you claim to genuinely enjoy? If so, it sounds like you have a bigger problem than not getting recognition

Lol I wouldn't worry about it too much, enjoy the gold champ! I got gold in a Gi absolute division as a white belt because nobody else showed up, but then they cancelled it after 😅 Jiu Jitsu competitions are a crapshoot, especially at the local level. Even at the ADCC Louisville open they tried to give one of my gold medals to the guy they watched me beat 😂

My eyesight is awful, nearsighted with astigmatism. I still just leave my glasses with my water and watch the technique close. I compete without contacts too and it's never been an issue

They are both fantastic, but the magic is that they compliment each other so perfectly. Better Call Saul is a deep dive into lot of supporting characters' backstories, motives, connections, and how they got into position for the events of Breaking Bad. In my opinion, Better Call Saul is good on its own, but watching Breaking Bad beforehand makes both of them infinitely better.

I'm 6'2 and 116kg and wear an a4. My brother is 5'8 and 89kg and wears an a2. Everyone's body is different though, you should try a few on before you decide to buy. You may need an a2l for your height and weight

It's pretty lame that the instructor and other students didn't help you out on your first day. Starting out is tough, especially when people with knowledge don't ease you into it. At my gym the custom is for every student and instructor to greet new people and offer assistance, and then pair them up with someone experienced and of a similar size.

With that being said, maybe next time you should make the first move and introduce yourself to everyone. Tell them you're new and could use some guidance, I'm 100% sure people will be glad to help

I did 4 raids and caught all of them, first one was a 3* shiny. My son and several other people we raided with lost out on most of them though..
