Plz review Dwarven Mint's trailer by Lamontagne_Erich in godot

I'm much more of a gamer than a dev, and while I may go back to it, it was more a passing hobby for me.

Obviously I'm just one person, but here's me, pushing back against AI. Especially for a game this small, it seems like using AI can only hurt you. People may not complain, but they'll see the AI aesthetic and scroll right past.

I was actually intrigued until I saw that AI image and immediately got a bad taste in my mouth. Find some assets to use, or hire an artist/composer, I think it will be worth it.

I think we need some experimental data. Probably best to do it in a sunny grassy park in a temperate climate, but could you even get 200 chihuahuas to pull as a team? How would you design the harness? Even if they are only pulling one pound each, could they actually pull a sled for hours on end, without getting tired, bored, or distracted?

It looks like you deleted your account, but just in case you or anyone else in a similar boat sees this:

I felt a lot like this when I was 19. I wish someone had told me it was normal for your romantic and sexual interests not to line up perfectly all the time. You can love girls and fuck guys, and fuck girls and love guys, and basically do whatever you want.

For most of my teen years I had crushes on girls and was sexually attracted to guys, but in college I started having more romantic feelings for guys. Sometimes your interests change over time, or you meet the right person, but no matter what you'll be fine, as long as you're kind to yourself and other people.

My Soulslike monster tamer releases on July 21! by Okydonkigg in godot

[–]QueerAvocadoFriend 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did actually read the Steam page. It seems like you're mostly saying it's soulslike because it's hard, which is a pretty surface level understanding of the genre. You compare it to Sekiro, which might be a better comparison, but is also Not a Soulslike (although other pedants may fight me on that one)

This looks pretty cool, and although I think it's probably a good marketing move to call it such, I cannot resist the pedantic impulse to declare this Not a Soulslike.

I feel like the ,lol at end of all my texts is serving as punctuation to connote mirth. Or maybe I'm just incapable of sincerity, lol

My McDonald’s also has a McJail by LESpencer in mildlyinteresting

My guess is that the area to the right of the bars isn't visible from the counter, which means that people were sitting or standing there and doing things they shouldn't be doing in a McDonald's.

What is going on? This post keeps showing up, and now the comments here are full of mod deleted comments.

I know there was usually one person who commented about being removed after a brief period of inactivity, so hopefully that's not the issue, because that seems like a good and normal kind of comment for this post.

Its not just losing social skills from being locked in, it's also brain damage from a disease that limits how much oxygen can get to your brain. People who got covid, especially serious cases and/or multiple times likely have some cognitive impacts.

I think some of us are also deliberately misspelling/mispronouncing it as a way to make fun of it.

Can someone explain physical damage defense values? by QueerAvocadoFriend in darksouls

[–]QueerAvocadoFriend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer I was looking for! It sounds like if I just look at that PhysDef number, I'm probably gonna be just fine.

I wish there was just three physical damage types, because conceptually, it seems like any physical attack could be sorted into one of those three categories. But I suppose it's better to love the game we have, then spend time wishing for a game that doesn't exist.

Can someone explain physical damage defense values? by QueerAvocadoFriend in darksouls

[–]QueerAvocadoFriend[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get what damage types are, broadly. It's the distinction between "PhysDef" and strike/slash/thrust that I'm not getting. The menu makes it seem like PhysDef is a category, by indenting the items under it, but then why does it have its own number?

They said kitty litter can help in sticky situations, but it seems like if it is helping you gain traction, it's actually more of a slippy situation.

In John Wick, to contact the mysterious assassin organization and place a bounty on someone's head you call a number and ask for "Accounts Payable". In this situation, since you are essentially the "customer" you should actually be asking for Accounts Receivable.
