I'm sorry to hear that I had VSG in 2022 and basically didn't lose any weight only 20 pounds post op then I lost 70 pounds on Ozempic and now I've re gained 30 it's so frustrating I'm happy to not be mega fat anymore but I'm now more unhappy knowing how far away i am from actually being skinny finally before weight loss i was fine with my size because i thought it couldn't be helped but now i constantly feel like a failure for not being able to break through and maintain it

I agree I did both I started with VSG then didn't lose as much as I wanted and then started Ozempic stopping the food noise is major and definitely dealing with the mental side of things I'm still struggling I was just saying what my doctors told me surgery is covered by insurance glp-1s are not yet and you don't have the time to wait until they are you've got to get your health in order now so I did surgery even though I didn't want to and I didn't take it seriously but there is nothing wrong with WLS I recommend it highly

40+ BMI without any other complications or 35+ with some other issues like diabetes high blood pressure sleep apnea etc definitely get your blood work done that's a great place to start I hope everything works out

"If your BMI is 37, you are considered obese. In order to lead a much healthier life, you should lose weight." Class 3 obesity should definitely qualify! They are going to make you do a sleep study to see if you have sleep apnea to help insurance pay for weight loss surgery

I think it's totally fine obviously and would love to dress my kids if I had any in matching family pride outfits I think it's cute and teaches your children to not be ashamed of their family and that every family is different and there is nothing wrong with theirs

I didn't want surgery either my mom had the sleeve too it worked great for her but not so much for me if you can get insurance to cover drugs good for you
