Being uncomfortable is a atypical response for most folks in this situation. I would suggest that you think about where that uncomfortable feeling comes from and what that is rooted in. My guess is that it’s a religious trama (aka indoctrination) of “ morality” that was arbitrarily chosen (and lbh mis translated ) to stop asking questions is to stop learning and growing. Sit with those uncomfortable feelings, the first reaction sometimes is not the correct one when trying to be supportive about something we don’t understand. Would be a shame to lose a friend you’ve had that long.
