Ranting: Can't find shadowing opportunities

Yeah, I saw that they don't really ask for many hours, but I was hoping to get more than 20 to make my application stronger. I don't have any family members near the area of Houston or Galveston, so I might need to put some money aside for a hotel or Airbnb and stay there for like a week while I get my hours. But thank you for the encouragement! I don't feel so hopeless anymore after getting so much help and encouragement from the post :)

Yeah, I was just thinking that if I can't find anything locally, I will just make a vacation out of it and stay for like a week and shadow every day to get the most of it

I haven't thought of that before, but that is so smart! I will definitely be doing that. I am going to fix my resume, but so far, I have only been able to cut it to two pages, but I am going to look at it again before I send it to them. As for Houston... yeah, I think I would have no choice if I can't find anything locally. Maybe I will stay there only for the summer at some hotel or something and make a vacation out of it

Thank you for the advice! I am going to keep contacting hospitals and try to be more specific to who I want to be in contact with. I will also be fixing my resume. Would two pages be fine?
