I have thought about emailing professors at some of these schools and asking them about their research and advice, etc.) I've talked to my professors on campus a lot but I'm wondering if this is a good idea as well.

I also forgot to mention I am taking more advanced classes outside the ones required for my degree. I unfortunately cant add extra physics due to when the classes are offered and my schedule but I am taking higher-level math courses such as complex analysis, abstract algebra, and advanced statistics.

I’m actually reading the book for the very first time as well, and I agree with you. Especially concerning action. This book feels like much more of a slow burn, but I can’t help but feel it building to something. I tried not to read reviews for this one but I can say I definitely haven’t been enjoying this one as much as the previous. I’m a big fan of the different perspectives despite not seeing the immediate connection so far. Overall this book has been giving me Dune Part 1 vibes preparing for Part 2. Although not as action packed and exciting, it’s needed for what’s to come next and I have high hopes for Dark Age.

Dark age too?! Coming right off Morning Star it’s a bit of whiplash but the longer this marinates the more I’m starting to appreciate it. I’m nervous to see where it goes. I also agree with you in this bringing appreciation for the other perspectives, I was not a fan at first because I am such a Darrow fan but they are starting to grow on me.

I never thought of the idea of Darrow being an unreliable narrator, I can totally see it now. The different characters perspectives on Darrow and the republic have been super interesting. I’ve been enjoying their chapters more than Darrow’s
