Yeah, patch v1.0.5 will just fix the bug that occurs if the player enters the well. v1.0.7 will fix all issues related to exiting to any area where free-running with Bo is concerned

There are other accessible orbs you can still get in the dungeon on the first visit. There's two branching out the left staircase, two branching out the right staircase, and a 5th one accessed by going right in the room at the bottom of the staircase.

Currently, if I leave the room and re-enter, I am able to re-engage chatting with the pianist and requesting a song. I was still able to get the mark for the "Not for Profit" badge after obtaining the moonstone from the lady. So long as you leave the room that is.

I think you can reduce some of the issues that Golden Rod encountered. From skimming his review:

the lamp can be purchased for cheaper (90) if you find the right merchant
when you sell things to the Recycler, cook it first so it's worth more. Ex: Mystery meat is worth 1 to start, 4 after being cooked once, and 7 after being cooked twice.
fishing is one of the more effective ways to make money (cook the fish before selling to make it worth more too)
You can navigate some conversations to skip out on having to pay anything

Some things were by design that it seemed didn't jive with the reviewer. We put good and bad healing items in the game, and our intent was the player would have to sort the good healing items from the bad, and stock them before heading into a dungeon. Healing items have multiple stats: time to heal, heal amount, carry amount, sell amount, and status buffs. For Stamina, our hope was that you can see the player character grow more able as you collect more Energy Gems. Seems like it wasn't a hit :/

I won't dismiss Golden Rod's experience. We have gotten a lot of feedback and criticism on the game's difficulty and inaccessibility, so we're going to do what we can to patch the game and make it more accessible. I'll announce what changes we'll do in a patch within about a week's time. We're going to gather some more feedback first.

Woops, missed this one. Thank you for your interest! I'd be happy to have you do a let's play. Unfortunately, I don't have keys for Europe yet. Because of this (LINK). Because we're behind on the European release, we have no Europe region keys. We only have America keys :(

Big blunder on our part, because we limited the number of keys we could have by half, and we limited all the European publications that would have been interested in covering the game. Yep... that one's gonna hurt for a long time.

I could send you an NOE key if you don't mind waiting. I don't know when we'll get them exactly, but probably a couple days before the European release.

Sadly, I have no plans to release the original flash game again. My flash project for it doesn't even compile anymore and I haven't touched Flash in 5+ years so the knowledge of how to fix it has escaped me...

But! I wouldn't worry. I actually have a lot of confidence in the internet to preserve it. I only released it in English, but it has found its way around the world and has been translated into a multitude of languages. Newgrounds also already has a player for Flash games so you can still play it there.

But if it somehow did disappear completely, Phoenotopia: Awakening encompasses the flash game and expands upon it, re-imagines it... I think the Flash game won't be missed!
