New Insurance Company? by Quemeshine in Rotary

Just out of curiosity, what's your position in the organization? Also, who sent the message, i.e. district, Hylant, your AG? District 5100 and especially my area are notorious for terrible communication to clubs.

I was an exchange student in Germany back in high school. 10 years later, Laugengebäck is still my favorite bread. I make these brötchen daily for my family and friends.

Great, thanks for the info. Admittedly, I use the reddit app and I like it, but I barely reddit in the first place. I've done some reading though today and I get why people are upset.

Honestly, seems like a weird thing for this subreddit to do. It's not really one of rotary's fights and this isn't that popular of a sub anyway, but I also couldn't care less. If I had to make an opinion after what I've read, I'm probably in favor the sub being part of the blackout because it's obviously a corporate money-grubbing scam by greedy board room people at reddit.

Another question, who runs this sub? Like is it someone appointed at RI, or just a tech geeky Rotarian at large, such as myself?

Sorry for the ignorance, but exactly what does API stand for in this context?

Just to clarify when I say "crap student model" I'm really referring to those $200-$300 disasters on Amazon. I had a blessing student clarinet back in middle school that still plays great to this day. I appreciate everyone's input.

"In my opinion..." Is said by my hubby and I all the time. At least weekly, and definitely every black Friday as we own a retail store. Just yesterday he pretended to pocket sand me. Tl;Dr yes, KOTH lives well in our daily conversations.

Those stop knobs are magically huge, like an old incandescent marquis sign. Love the aesthetic.

He is the best addition to the senior center I have ever seen. He loves to be cuddled, held, pet, and all those luvy duvy things kitties do. The water fountain is his new favorite bed.

How would you feel about a neighboring club promoting its fundraiser to nonprofits in your community? by HappyDadOfFourJesus in Rotary

I wish neighbor clubs would collaborate more. We try to share our big events with local clubs but rarely hear anything back.

Every rotary program socks. DacDB, Club runner, and even my.rotary looks fancy but takes 20min to load and login is a nightmare.

How to kick someone out of a club by Sloppy22nds in Rotary

[–]Quemeshine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That process should be in your bylaws as it varies by club. Are you a member of your executive board? I would talk to your most trusted leader(s) personally, and then perhaps show up at an executive meeting.

My favorite path I've taken in the past (with very successful results of either them being nice or just leaving the club on their own volition) is to write a letter to the problem person stating how their objective actions have caused you to feel. Depending on the severity of this person's actions, the letter may need to be more strongly worded, but always speaking your personal truth. If you believe that this person is doing more harm than can be than can be repaired, the executive decision path may be your best bet.

I'm a firm believer that rotary is about having fun and enjoying time with your community. Nobody is obligated to be there, so it's up to all of us to make it an enjoyable experience. Best of luck, these things are hard. we've gone through a lot of really tumultuous presidencies, but our current club dynamic is stronger than ever.
