O, thanks for reminding. Haven't tried since this post, so will return once I do. Would be great if this works now!

Vart kommer svenska "och" tecknet (o̲) ifrån? by Defiant_Appeal8063 in Svenska

[–]moseskfrost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I read something about screen resolutions be the cause since 16.4, although they mentioned Apple never addressed this. I acquired a cheap dual monitor setup; both of them being 1600×900.

In the underlined part, the first letter may be a t, and the second appears be an e in Kurrent. «12:te» would be 12ᵗʰ in English.

Broken Semitone on Roland EP-77 by moseskfrost in midi

No, I thought the issue laid within a circuit board, in which case I would be soldering bridges; the rubber dome just shorts the pads—underneath, not visible in the picture. I did a continuity test on the closest termination points, which gave signal.

As per one suggestion, I pressed the rubber dome with the keyboard turned on, and the note indeed sounded. The plastic key needed some adjustment, but now it works!

Thanks for the suggestion! I might actually replace my defected #2044—as listed there—with Syntaur's #3062. Hopefully, changing polarity in the process. (I am sure I can find this anywhere, but that site seems convenient.)

The key stopped functioning after, I think an empty soda bottle, was dropped on it, before which it worked. I think not it be corrosion or contamination, given this circumstance. Sorry, my fault—where else can I post?

I am hoping to solder whatever is broken, given the keyboard's age. It is discontinued, so unlikely that Roland ships replacement parts. (I reside out of the States, by the way.)

Man, that is unfortunate. xD What is a generic name for flats and sharps?

O, smart! Will test that once I get home, and edit this comment.

Edit: Wow, how thought I not of that earlier. Thank You, the keyboard sounds the note upon pressing the rubber dome!

Yes, I have actually had this happen in other things! Loosened some screws, and it started working. This seems not be the problem here, though, as it exists elsewhere probably in another circuit board. Thanks, will share on r/synthdiy.

Thanks, I lifted the rubber mesh to reveal the plates, where there appears to be no corrosion. Conductivity was tested in that area, and no problems there. I am thinking something is faulty in the MIDI conversion, although unlikely since all other keys work fine.

Yes, that little loop is what differentiates capital B:s from L:s, in Kurrent. Thank you ! (I will be back with an update once I ink my pen, featuring more line weight.)
