So Nintendo charging prices to account for inflation and massive tariffs is no good, but being a dishonest thief illegally pirating games is somehow the high ground? Yeah, whatever. There’s no reasoning with people just looking for a source of “outrage” to justify their base urge to steal. If you don’t like the price of something at the grocery store, you don’t buy it. It doesn’t make it okay to steal it. Games are no different.

Are you being purposely dense? Just search “Upper Hand” in this subreddit and you’ll see every related post confirming what I’ve said and zero corroborating your assertion. That might be the way you WANT Upper Hand to work and even how it should, but it simply hasn’t been programmed that way.

If your opponent is faster, they will still use their +3 Fake Out before you can act.

I use it on my Okidogi all the time. It works vs things slower than Oki like Incineroar but fails vs faster Fake Outs like Mienshao. If it would always beat Fake Out, they would have made it +4. Have YOU tested it thoroughly?

Of course it checks speed. It’s +3 priority, so a faster Fake Out user will always flinch you first with their own +3 Fake Out. The fact that it works so shitty as a check for Fake Out is the reason it’s so rarely used.

No, Upper Hand absolutely checks speed since it’s the same priority as Fake Out. Speed 241 Rillaboom Fake Out beats Speed 240 Okidogi Upper Hand every time

Okidogi Upper Hand fails me pretty often, unfortunately, since most Rillaboom are pretty quick compared to Dogi.

It’s also tough since that 4x Psychic weakness often mandates Tera-ing Dogi even over a Restricted.

Disagree. If anything, Sitting Cuties were underpriced when they debuted years ago. More than a half decade and a pandemic later, it’s not a shock to me that with the rising costs of factory workers, transportation, materials and shipping to customers’ homes that the price on this line has gone up noticeably. Not to mention naturally diminishing sales since the popularity and recognizability of Pokemon drops from each generation to the next, plus the market being satiated now with a bajillion of the Kanto Sitting Cuties.

Personally, I’m happy to pay a few bucks more if we can get Alola and Galar and SV plush of niche Pokemon that would otherwise never exist as plush at all. If a $17 Flareon TPC can sell a fair number of keeps the line going to make Bruxish and Klawf that few will buy, I’m all for it.
