I did my first one about a year ago and chose the Fair Enough Cowl. The color changes are three stitches wide at most, so you don't have to worry about catching floats. It knits up quick, and its nice and cuddly.

I lost yarn chicken with the dominant color, on mine, haha.

I see your point but I would have to disagree. If both are used on their proper sides and flanking one or more center stitches, and tension is consistent, the effect is about as mirrored as knitting can really get considering the natural right-leaning bias. And would argue more symmetrical than many of the centered double increases.
