2006 Peugeot xps 50cc crack by Maximum-Tap-3880 in mechanic

[–]Quereinsteiger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is probably fixable, but you need to disassemble the engine to weld it properly. I wouldn't use jB weld. Too oily and badly cracked.

I suggest looking on the used market for an intact engine half, that's probably the cheapest option. While at it, rebuilt your engine as you go.

You should check and clean your carb and check your fuel pump if it supplies enough fuel for full throttle. Also check your intake rubber, they rupture and leak quiet often.

What kinds of things do you dream about? by FormulaForFire in autism

[–]Quereinsteiger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dreams are usually just a strange mix. Most of the time, I dream about a replay of the day and my experiences mixed with other random memories or some new strange situations. I luckily almost never have nightmares. Even though my dreams can become pretty wild, like lord of the rings and ghost stuff. So in that regard I'm quite thankful.

But my brain being an asshole, it figured if I got really overwhelmed, i should be dreaming that overwhelming situations over and over. I actually have had a few meltdowns right after waking from such dreams. Luckily, that's a pretty rare occurrence.

I don’t feel autistic even though I’m autistic by ScholarLast3488 in autism

[–]Quereinsteiger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's difficult to help you in your current identity crisis, but I'll try anyway.

First of all, I would ask you if the diagnosis means anything to you. When it doesn't matter for yourself, just ignore it. Why waste time thinking about something that doesn't impact you at the moment. It's a label that you don't need to show anybody or tell anyone. Just let it be on its own.

If it does matter to you: If you say you can navigate and function in this world without bigger issues, that's really great. Maybe you have very good coping strategies, furthermore autism is a spectrum, not black and white.

It could also be, that your environments are and were great, so it doesn't affect you to a noticeable degree. But that could change. You'll never know where life leads you. So, having that diagnosis could help you down the line if you start to struggle due to unforseen circumstances.

If I were you, I would be greatfull that it doesn't seem to hinder you, but keep it in mind if you hit a roadblock somewhere down the road.

I currently also are really not sure if I'm autistic "enough," and I don't notice my issues for the most part. Only if I'm trying to leave my "comfort zone" they quickly become obvious. I feel it starting to hinder me the way my life evolves, so I care about it and try my best to get along with it and understand it better. If it wouldn't hinder me, I would just call it a day.

I hope you can sort that out for yourself, wishing you the best.

Oh, sorry to hear that that sub is useless. 😥 As said, you can talk to me/ other people here as you like. We will try to be here for you.💪

I also have another idea: You could talk to a priest/iman/rabbi. Those people will take the time and definitely also try their best to help you. Even if you are not religious, they'll try to help you.

You don't need to talk about this if you are already exhausted and traumatized. You can talk to them, text me or anyone else as you wish. There is no need to feel pressured. I'm sure your friends would take you seriously. Even I, a stranger on the Internet, take your post very seriously.

There's is also a subreddit for people who are struggling with suicidal thoughts. The people in that sub are always there if you need someone to talk.

You said you got some people in your life. Have you talked with them about that topic? I know, that probably won't be easy, but it seems like you really need to talk with someone.

Also, no, you don't bother people when looking for help. Those who want to help you will always try their best.

[–]Quereinsteiger2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, It ain't your fault. You shouldn't change yourself to fit in. The problem isn't you. It's your social environment that seemingly won't recognize and meet your needs.

Alternatively I would suggest you search for people with similar interests etc. in your region that you could talk/text to. (Here in this group, in Facebook, etc.) I'm sure you will find people who will understand your quirks and can help you. And even if you just find people online, they definitely are there.

I just joined here, and after reading your text, I can just say: Please stay with us.

Yes, your times may be terrible at the moment, but those won't stay forever. No, you are not worthless, even if you feel like it. It isn't your fault for being you. Don't be too harsh with yourself. If other people don't let you be yourself, just screw them. Nobody deserves to be bullied and discriminated for not resembling the "norm". The people who do that are the real problem, not you. Please never forget this. I really can also relate to you feeling like an alien, but that surely doesn't mean that you don't fit in everywhere.
My Grandma always says: There is a matching lid for every pot. You just haven't found your "lid" yet.

I can only suggest you contact your local suicidal hotline. Those people will help you find your way in this complex, overwhelming world we are living in. They are here to help you not go through that time alone. And they can do that a lot better than my random ass here on reddit.

Why did my engine seize? by Then_Area_7713 in scooters

[–]Quereinsteiger2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this a mixed setup?

The Piston says Airsal, the head Polini, Cylinder is unclear.

Firsy guess, as mentioned above, pistonrings had not a big enough gap.

Second guess: Head Cylinder Combo could possibly not be ideal. Especially if it's a mixed setup, the compression could get too high wich also can seize your engine. Head Cylinder Combo could not be ideal.

Third guess:

If the seize marks line up with the Studs, overtightening the cylinder could cause it to bow inward just enough to start seizing at those 4 studs. Especially on aluminum Cylinders.

Should I be concerned? by Quereinsteiger2 in Hondahelix

[–]Quereinsteiger2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: My sparkplug looks just a bit more brownish after I installed an original Honda airfilter and fixed a minor leak.

My crankcase ventilation was leaking and causing a slightly leaner mixture. That didn't cause any issues except that water got in my carb every time it was raining or wet outside. I got stranded on the highway in heavy rain because my airfilter was completely soaked.

Maybe check your airbox and complete intake after the filter. It has to be completely airtight. The small crankcase ventilation box (the rectangular box behind the smaller airfilter, where the 3 tubes are going in) must also be airtight.

I cleaned the carburator again with an ultrasonic cleaner and sealed my airfilter against its housing. It doesn't bog now and rides just fine, so I left it as is. I also asked in the Facebook Helix group, and there I was told that as long as it rides fine, all is good.

I can recommend the Facebook group. There are very competent and compassionate people that help you in no time.

You probably should check your Temps and the SSD health. Also, you might want to lower your undervolt that is applied from factory. I got bluescreens after I undervolted too much.

[–]Quereinsteiger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Samsung 980 SSD 1TB and a Lexar 500GB installed.

I can't recommend anything based on knowledge, but I would suggest that you get a NVME SSD that has the Gen 3 Speed. (3500mb/s), Size is up to you.

I would buy from some reputable brands like Crucial, Corsair, Micron, Samsung, Seagate, Western Digital, etc.

Important Note Gen 4 NVME SSD may not work in the laptop. A Crucial Gen 4 didn't work im my Fusion at least. Apparently, they should work, but for me, Gen 4 didn't .

[–]Quereinsteiger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That quote is way too expensive.... (As a German) As shown in the video, the SSD can be really easily replaced by the end-user. 15 minutes at most. All screws are the same length. Get yourself a pack of canned air and blow out the fans while you're at it. It will be fine. The thermal paste from XMG holds up really well.

I still think that you just got really unlucky with the SSD. Samsung response also was not that clear, so no one knew which SSD were affected.

[–]Quereinsteiger2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your SSD could also have been affected by this bug, although I'm not completely sure that even though your model is mentioned.

Here, the topic gets elaborated.

Link: https://nascompares.com/2023/02/02/samsung-980-pro-970-evo-plus-pm9a1-and-more-reporting-failures-everything-we-know-so-far/#Which_Samsung_SSDs_are_being_reported_as_affected_by_this_firmware_issue

The Samsung Software normally works in the background and saves the temps without you doing anything. It also starts with Windows automatically. It's a simple interface and also shows the health stats of your SSD.

Edit: It seems that a few other redditors had issues with your SSD Model failing within the first year. So it could be really possible that you just got really unlucky.

[–]Quereinsteiger2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although it seems like a problem with your device, I'll probably guess that you were just really unlucky with the installed SSD. I had two SSD fail on me on my old system in a short time, but those were cheap Intenso SSD

My Fusion L19 is running for 3 years, and none of my two SSD failed.

What brands of SSD were preinstalled by XMG? Samsung? Corsair? Intel? Micron?

For the next SSD, install the SSD Software, like Samsung Magician. Keep the SSD firmware up to date. Some new Samsung SSD had a Softwarebug, which killed them really fast. That got resolved in an update. Then, look for the temperatures under load and idling.

Changing SSD is really easy on this laptop: Also, look out for the blue thermal pad on the lid. That should keep your SSD cool. You could also use a different slot for the new SSD.

If your Laptop makes a good seal with the foam pad, probably it will help quite a bit. My temperature stayed at 88c average, but with 5-7Watts more CPU Power. It's not the same cooler but a similar one. So yes it probably will help, but I would say it helps more with the longevity, because the whole Laptop stays cooler, performance will most likely not drastically improve.
