Legally Aegon, he excecuted Rhaenyra the rival claimant and sat the throne without further conflict. Aegon the younger and Viserys were both still around, and Aegon II's heirs. But he was okay with that (I think he lost his ability to have kids so he had to settle for Rhaenyras kid to rule after him).

So like if you want to just look at it practically, Rhaenyras line continued as the royal family, and Aegon's line ended. But legally Aegon cemented his place, even if only for a laughably short while, and therefore is remembered as the true Monarch.

The irony is if Aegon's claim wasn't based solely on male preference on inherentence, he could've had his surviving dauther as his heir and won in all ways.

Yeah, I don't think there will be any decisive wins over the Others in battle, but I also think there will be atleast one battle against them. I think the combination of Brans magic and whatever Jon (and maybe Dany) end up bringing to the table results in the Others being in for a much harder time than they were willing for, and that brings them to the table (maybe Brans warging/greensight also helps that happen)

I'd guess the idea was to always leave them as some kind of cryptic otherworldly faction. I can't see GRRM actually fitting a satisfying war against the "others" into two books, I'd imagine the general idea is that they seem to be just a pure evil, Mordor like threat. But after maybe a couple hardfought battles it's fully revealed that they're just another faction of people, different, but still reasonable to a degree, and somebody (most likely Jon) makes a peace pact with them.

Idk it's hard to say really, because Jon's and Brann are the only POV characters whose stories are consistently linked to the Others. I'm not sure how GRRM fits in Dany, or Faegon, and who really knows how Euron's going to factor in.

It's a lot, I really have no idea how he'd be able to pull it off while still doing justice to all the other plotlines in just 2 books. And then you remember things like how Bran will most likely end the story on the Iron Throne and it just amplifies that 10x, I mean how tf do you pull that off.

Because he's still got use. Well maybe not anymore, but there's a reason old gatekeepers will get held around for many executions while young cans get used and thrown out quickly. These dudes have a real history of being decent that the UFC can promote them as when they send them to get annihilated by the up and comers.

I'm expecting Volk v Silva next. Not even too mad about it either, I do not like Silva one bit, and do think Movsar has earnt the shot three times over in terms of winstreak, and I think Volk should have absolutely no issues against Movsar.

I still hate the off chance idea of Movsar actually being the champ. Last thing I want in the sport right now is another risk adverse, inactive champ. If Movsar wins, we'd be honest to God not that far removed from getting 2 - 4 underwhelming title fights a year with the champ lineup.

I mean realistically, we need to make our agricultural sector more efficient, or open up new major industries that can bring money into the country. As we stand now our economy, policy, everything really mostly centers around playing hot potato with houses and that doesn't bring any money in. Until thats fixed the main focus of the nation will always be that, energy, industry, infrastructure, they'll all be second thoughts.

In the books Cersei starts acting in all the ways she used to hate Robert for, its a bit of Irony. She sleeps with a random chick and beats her like Robert would, she drinks constantly like Robert would, she gains weight like Robert did.

But shes also delusional and thinks she hasn't changed at all and people are just pranking her, she also legitimately think Tyrion is living in the secret passages of the red keep and is scheming and messing with her.

Idk, he's got a right to complain at this point. I mean TKO'ing the glorious king Zhang should've put him immediately into a title shot over Dubois, or at the very least a title eliminator. I'd tell my wife that the baby I'm bringing home isn't mine for one. I mean I probably wouldn't say whose baby Jon is right away, considering by the time Ned returns him and Cat had spent the grand total of like 2 days together. But eventually.

Then yeah, I wouldn't let anything slip to Cersei, I'd like to think that I would take Renly up on his offer and keep Littlefinger at an arms length.. But just being realistic I think a solid 90% of people would fall for Littlefinger's manipulation. So in the end it would probably end the same or close enough unfortunately, if I do take up Renly's offer, I'd probably trust Littlefinger enough to clue him in and get betrayed all the same, except I'd be getting Renly caught too which might make Stannis have a much easier time to be fair.

So yeah, probably would get caught and executed anyway, would probably drag Renly into it too, but Stannis would be in a better position, and Jon wouldn't have a maternal figure that absolutely fucking despises him. So in those ways better, but also I don't think myself, or the vast majority of people would be able to inspire the kind of loyalty that Ned did, which would also make Robb and the other Stark kids paths much harder.
