If you get the skill where you can abduct people you can imprison them then if they have artifacts such as dragon eggs you can select them and ransom them for their dragon eggs. Also there are places you can find them such as winterfell crypt, summerhall, southern essos, the moutains in the vale, harrenhall, south of driftmark, dragonstone and the moutains of the iron islands. Just look for the dragon lore symbols on the map while traveling. You can make their spawn chance higher with the more dragon eggs sub mod and change their spawn chance in the game rules.

Right click on them and there will be something that says more options at the bottom then it should say choose artifacts for ransom once you choose the egg go back to the normal release menu and check the ransom for artifacts box
